Be prepared for most typical Azorean experience. Two in one, typical food & thermal pools. One of the great experience on the island is the thermal pools, you don't want to miss them. At night is when the place is more quiet, the air temperature is more adequate and the atmosphere is magical. I want to take you to the one most iconing thermal pools from the island, Poça da Beija. This experience will start in the end of the day until around midnight, be prepared for the best evening of your trip. So far seems good, there is more, before the thermal pools we will visit where locals cook the famous "cozido"(stew) using the heat from the volcano and this is what you gonna get for your dinner. On the top of all that you can have a cup of local tea made in one of the natural hot springs before we return home, all this surounded with a mysterious atmosphere created with the steam coming from the boilers of valley of Furnas. For better understanding you have to come... Starting from Ponta Delgada at 18h00-18:30 pm. Pick up at any place situated inside the city of Ponta Delgada. During this tour we will visit the main West and Central sites, specifically Sete Cidades volcano and a collection of lagoons, with special attention for the Green and Blue lagoons. We will also visit the Fogo Lagoon and it´s volcano, well known for it´s magnificent lake with white sandy beaches and crystal clearwater. In one day, we will see both coasts of the Island of São Miguel in several points, also visit the pineapple plantations. Around 12:30 we will already be in a Restaurant chosen by us, where your Lunch is offered by us and will be presented some typical dishes of Regional Cuisine. Our return to Ponta Delgada is made by the South of the island, not forgetting the stop at the Belvedere of Escalvado, a place that allows us to see the village of Mosteiros, as well as the islets of the Mosteiros. Our last stop will be in Ferraria so young and special place where you can see all in black/no vegetation yet and also natural thermal pool in the ocean. You can also suggest to me what kind of pictures you would like, be it candid, funny or romantic! You will get high-resolution edited photos from all location by email. Other things to note With great pleasure we will pick you up at your accommodation around city location or we can pick you up on Tourist Office, located on Av. Infante D. Henrique , Ponta Delgada.

Também será explicado todo o maneio e cuidados que temos na Quinta. No fim desta visita irá haver uma pequena surpresa aos visitantes preparada por nós e pelos nossos animais. Na segunda parte da experiência irá ser oferecido um delicioso pequeno almoço típico composto por diversos tipos de pães, doces caseiros e queijos, entre outras iguarias tradicionais da nossa terra. In this cruise, you will sail till the best point to see the sunset, depending on the weather/sea/wind conditions it´s possible to swim in the ocean just before the sunset, from June to August. With our professional crew, you can also learn a little bit about the sailing process. It will be offered some snacks with regional products and white wine or other drinks ( not im 2021). In the way back you will see the city by night ( if possible)! Tips are welcome to the crew!

Explore the highlights of the Western half of São Miguel island in a small group van tour (8 people max) led by a local expert guide! We end the day in Mosteiros, at the western coast of the island, famous by its natural pools in the lava rocks and set of charming small islets. São Miguel is famous for its amazing scenery, but many visitors don’t realize that the island is full of amazing spots that are not part of the main tourist itineraries, but just as beautiful or more! We will dedicate quite some time to this magical place, starting with a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire crater lake and Furnas town from a high lookout. In Furnas town itself, you will be given the choice of visiting the geothermal fields and tasting the sparkling waters, or bathing in the hot springs (entrance to the pools not included). Then see the famous “cozido” stew, being pulled from volcanic steamy soil, before tasting it in a local restaurant (options available for non-meat eaters). In the afternoon we continue our journey East, first stopping at the dazzling waterfall of Ribeira dos Caldeirões. We then reach Nordeste, the most rugged and forested part of the island, where we will see two amazing lookouts over the impressive high cliffs that characterize the East coast of the island. Join me for the top hiking places in São Miguel Island such as waterfalls, Lagoa Do Fogo, Salto Do Cabrito, Nordeste and Furnas. These hikes vary from easy to difficult, you’ll need hiking shoes and of course water! It would take an average of 5 days to get a hiking tour of the whole island. Usually we would start hiking at 9am but times are flexible. Lunch is also available upon request.

Your experience will start with a 10-15 min hiking trail situated on the south coast cliff sight of São Miguel island. Happy to warmly welcome you on our terrace - stage for your cheese fondue experience! Amazing cheeses will be transformed in 3 different cheese fondues / 3 different kinds of cheeses from the Azores / different intensities and flavours with vegetables from our sustainable garden and home made bread! Trough all the experience the wine will pair the cheese character! We will meet in Mercado da Graça in Ponta Delgada, where we going to know the different products that grows on the island, as well as our fish, sausages, cheeses and ways to consume and cook. After going to the market, these products will be used in the cooking class.At first, I will explain my options to the entrances, where is also include locals wines and cheese. Next we will start the cooking class, where I explain the most important ingredients of the Azorean cuisine, then we start an authentic cooking class with demonstration and hands-on experience. After, we will enjoy what we have cooked. During the cooking process, I will show you the farm where I live, where you can see the typical fruits and plants from Azores and depending on the season of the year, we can pick fresh ingredients, to our cooking class. Obtendo-se assim uma experiência única de aprendizagem e partilha através do processo decorativo da cerâmica, com enquadramento teórico sobre azulejaria tradicional. Este encontro culminará com um objecto “souvenir”, que pode ser alusivo às ilhas, criado pelo próprio no local de viagem! Dado o processo da cerâmica requerer cozedura à volta dos 1000ºC, o trabalho será entregue ao seu criador 2 dias após a execução. At Donkeys and Friends, we believe, and have seen firsthand how responsible tourism helps visitors engage more deeply with the Azores, and we strive to share our community through the eyes of locals, in the most traditional of fashions. Our mission is to help and protect donkeys in need of rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming. Donkeys walk at the same speed as humans, about four miles per hour. Moving is vital to their ongoing health. In the wild, these animals can be found traveling 10 to 20 kilometers a day as they wander around grazing. And that’s where we need your help! These daily hiking adventures keep our big-eared friends healthy, while unleashing their natural curiosity and wonder. On this excursion, you will have the opportunity to stroll alongside Gabriela, Joaquin de Horta, Esperanca, Edward, and the always-entertaining Shetland pony, Kiwi! We will explore Agua de Alto, where they say it’s always sunny, at a donkey’s pace, reviling in the laid back pace that marks these relaxed islands. We’ll let you in on the secret paths to the best beaches on the south side of the island, make a pit stop for coffee and a chance to brush up on your Portuguese.
