Originally a staging inn, the Squatters Arms is an historic stone building built around 1841, making it one of the oldest homes in the area. We are slowly and lovingly bringing it back to life. 'The Old Kitchen' guestroom was, quite literally, the inn's original kitchen! Some of it's most defining features are still intact: the flagstone floors, the bread oven and huge fireplace with cooking arm where all the meals were prepared. It's now a cosy room for two with all the comforts of home.
“The Outpost” is a 900 acre property in alpine country on the banks of the Upper Murrumbidgee. It is mostly alpine woodland supporting an abundant population of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, platypus, echidnas and a birdlife.
I have a bright, fresh and spacious studio apartment, on the southern edge of town. Step outside to see fantastic views of the countryside, especially at sunset. Bringing together a rustic, wood theme with modern facilities, there’s TV, WiFi, modern kitchen with both air-con and a fireplace (wood provided). I live in the adjoining home with a Jack Russell called Kippy. She has the backyard, but you have access to a patio and are welcome to use the front yard. Come join us.
