Galway's legendary walking tour !
The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale !
We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love.
Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way.
These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city.
Other things to note
Dont worry about it raining - we have plenty of places to hide out of the rain !
Aran Island Bike Tour with Tea/Scones - Day Trip from Doolin
Join me and my team of guides on one of the most beautiful and stress-free day trips to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands!
Meeting at Doolin Pier, we board a modern ferry for our 20-minute journey to Inisheer. En route, we often see the dolphins that love to swim beside the ferry.
The island is like a time machine. As soon as you step foot on Inisheer, you will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken everywhere. You will experience Irish traditions that have been lost on the mainland.
We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles.
After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets!
Afterward, you will have some free time. Some like to use their free time on the sandy beach, in the pub, or at the playground (if you have kids, they will love this playground - lots to do). If you like, you could simply bike around the island some more!
Cliffs of Moher Hike from Doolin
The Cliffs Of Moher is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. This guided tour will take you on an 8km (5 mile) adventure from the small fishing village of Doolin, along a breathtaking route to the top of the Cliffs Of Moher. The experience is brought to life with fascinating stories passed down from generations.
Oh, and you will see the BEST views of the Cliffs of Moher! Views that are not seen by 97% of the people who visit the Cliffs of Moher each year. Bring your camera!
WHERE DOES THE EXPERIENCE START?
The experience begins at the Fiddle + Bow Hotel in Doolin where you will meet the guide. The guide will explain the itinerary and answer any questions. The tour is less about facts and figures and more about stories. The guide always encourages stories from visitors too!
WHERE DOES THE EXPERIENCE END?
The tour will end at the visitor center at the top of the Cliffs where guests are free to go inside to relax.
By the end of this experience, guests will have explored the Cliffs of Moher in a way most don't get to see it. They will be left with a strong sense of connection with Clare and the Cliffs of Moher.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation back to Doolin will be organized by your guide! Most people opt for the taxi but you can walk or get the public bus too!
IS THE HIKE DIFFICULT?
We suggest a moderate level of fitness!

You will cycle on quiet back roads into the wild Burren on electric bikes, visit historical locations such as 10th century ring forts and a dolmen from 3500 BC, and experience the amazing flora and landscape of this protected region. You will cycle on small back roads with little or no traffic, seeing the parts of the Burren most visitors never see. We will stop for lunch or coffee and cake, or simply chat to the local people, and of course, get plenty of fresh air. You will bike as much or as little as you wish, and if the weather is really bad, there is always a Plan B!

Tour the Burren
Discover the Beauty & Hidden Gems
A warm welcome awaits you in our beautiful home overlooking the sea. The adventure will begin in the fabulous Burren. We will do a quick safety check to ensure you have the correct clothing for the great outdoors – hiking boots and some rain wear if necessary. Then as your experienced guide full of local knowledge and some anecdotal insights I will bring you up one of the many surrounding hills and mountains on our doorstep. Abbey Hill is most likely our starting point, up along the Green road with breath taking scenery of Kinvara, Galway Bay and the undulating mountains of the Burren. We will have prepared a light snack in advance and on summiting half way through our trek we usually stop for a flask of tea and a bit to eat to enjoy and take all our stunning surroundings
Other things to note
Arrive suitably dressed for the Hike and taking the weather into consideration.
The Cliffs of Moher, driving excursion from end to end
This is a easy crawl from point to point around the cliffs of moher area. You will be driven by me to the best vantage points. I will drive you along tiny back roads that you would never navigate by yourself giving you a completely unique insight into the Cliffs of Moher. Most visitors only see the visitor centre without realising there is 16kms of cliff paths to explore. We will pop out at points and hike/walk for short distances before we head onto the next spot. All of them are extraordinary scenic points where you can take photo's, just relax or hike. Its up to you !! This is also suitable for folks who (have no car) are staying in Galway and are taking the bus here. I can collect you and drop you back afterwards. It also has appeal to folks with limited mobility, folks who are only interested in photography or maybe you just want a relaxing day out at this iconic site without a big hike.
Ancient folk methods, laughter & nature in The Burren
Half-Day Tour with homemade snack and tea/coffee (3.5 hours)
You will be warmly welcomed and given a foot bath and 10-minute healing-touch shoulder/foot massage (optional), labyrinth and grounding experience, meandering tour and nature therapy in the heart of the Burren Geopark, limestone and woodland landscape and sharing of the millennia-old tradition and history of healing in the area. A true chance to slow down and connect with this landscape, it’s history and it’s people.
All ages, genders and histories welcome.
Private Cliffs of Moher Hike
This personalised hike is ideal for folks who:
Don't wish to be part of a larger mixed group
Want to hike at your own pace
Want to take breaks when you need to
Want an informed immersive insight into the cliffs' amazing history, flora & fauna. A very personalised fun interactive experience.
Each hike I plan is different, the routes are different according to your specific needs. Families with children tend to need more conservative shorter hikes, sometimes the weather dictates the best places to go. Sometimes a group wants to get a great memorable hike in. And some folks, well, some want to propose to their girlfriends, spread the ashes of a loved one, have a family reunion, or just take amazing photographs and immerse yourself in nature. Whatever it is, we've probably done it before and the whole idea of this private hike is to make it happen for you and your loved ones.
We will be trekking about 700ft above sea level on exposed narrow cliff edge tracks where the gulls fly below you. At dizzying heights the crashing ocean below is forming sea stacks, arches and caves. There is an incredible wildness and beauty here. Its a great way to fully see the magic of the Cliffs of Moher in your private group setting.
Book for as little as €70 per person or get the group discount for more than 5 people.
Alpacas experience in a lovely farm
You'll jump right into the field, meeting our lovely alpacas and horses.
You will know everything about them, about their life and habits.
I attended several Alpacas Classes where I get my advanced certificates with the British Alpacas Association and the Alpaca Association of Ireland.
You'll have the chance to meet 2 Alpacas Breeds! Huacaya and Suri. It's not easy to see Suri as they are very rare in Ireland!! You can meet them only at our farm nearby Loop Head and Kilkee!
You'll feed them directly, and grab one of them, if you feel ready to.
You'll have the opportunity to cuddle them, check them and train them too!
This experience is completely tailored on you!
You'll have the opportunity to meet and greet the chickens, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to pet them too!
We'll be back at home, and I'll show you a spinning wheel, that I use with the alpaca wool.
You can even have a try :) !!
Other things to note
We'll see and work with animals. Animals can be unpredictable sometimes, they can run, jump, or even spit. They can kick too.
Normally it doesn't happen, but you must know that it's possible.
We'll work mostly outside
