The manor house dates back to the 16th century, but people flock here to see the famous, award-winning gardens, with rare trees and chain of seven lakes and pools. The gardens are open to the public on Sundays and Bank Holidays from early April to late September. Nearby Stoke-on-Trent was the hub of the pottery industry for over 250 years.
