Although Damariscotta offers it’s own unique personality and fare, approximately 14 miles south is Boothbay Harbor and in the opposite direction is New Harbor, Pemaquid and Round Pond. Not to mention Camden/Rockport beyond. There are many hidden gems along this coastline so if lobster and seafood is your choice we have many recommendations. Bar Harbor is an easy day trip, (less than 2 ½ hrs) if Acadia National Park is on your wish list!
