Extremely quiet, a short portion of the access road is steep, drive down in first gear. Otherwise, ask for a lift with our jeep, and the next morning, wake up to the sound of cow bells. Raithal is a small, fairy-like village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The cottage is located at 2250 mts and has absolutely stunning views of the Himalayas range. The food eaten here is locally grown. Raithal is known for Dayara Bugyal, located at 3408m. It is an 8.5 km scenic trek all the way to the top and is recommended for beginners. The cottage is in midst of greenery and guests would need to climb up a steep hill for 400 m that takes 10 to 15 mins.

Stephen's place is one of twin apartments, with spacious and airy rooms. The place is a 3 minute walk from the main road, somewhat separated from the village hub, overlooking rice fields which lead to the river. It's ideal for a family getaway, a group of friends on an adventure, or a small team retreat.
