Ozokwenza

We'll meet before to soak in the pre-match atmosphere, an essential experience. I will show you a football, explain the history and rules, and give you a reference sheet for use during the game. I can also show you how to pass the football (kicking and handballing)! Then we'll make the pilgrimage across the Riverbank footbridge to Adelaide Oval, one of the world's most picturesque stadiums. Once we're inside, we'll find a spot on 'The Hill' - we stand like the old days by a 100+ year old scoreboard that's world-famous. Then, we watch the pre-match spectacle (there's fire, it's very cool) and get LOUD with a rowdy home crowd that usually averages 45,000 - out of 53,500 capacity. Adelaide matches are a real spectacle in any type of weather, so be prepared for something special! After the match you'll have understanding of our great sport from a city that lives and breathes it!
Other things to note
PLEASE contact me before booking for ticket availability! We will be standing for a few hours, so if it's cold have warm clothing. For wet weather, have protective clothes as umbrellas aren't allowed. There are plenty of food/drink options in the venue, which only accepts cards.

Hi! I'm born and raised in Adelaide, love Australian Rules football (AFL) and have a deep passion for my lifelong team the Adelaide Crows. If you join me you'll learn a lot more than just the rules. I've seen how football affects indigenous communities across Australia (I lived in the Northern Territory for 2 years), and I have friends in the sport's industry. I'm a tour guide with my own business Flamboyance Tours; with extensive Adelaide knowledge I will provide important context of how football shapes my home city. I look forward to helping you experience Australian football!
*I also host experiences 'Be an Adelaide local...' and 'The F Factor', so check them out too (for reviews etc) :)

Adelaide Oval is the city's major stadium, and is home to the biggest AFL Women's Grand Final attendance (53,000 in 2019). It's a stadium with character, providing as intimate an atmosphere you can get for footy! Traditionally it's also known as the world's best cricket ground.
