Ozokwenza
We're three Pinar del Río natives. We'll take you to the Quemado del Rubi Farm in San Juan y Martínez to meet Hector Luis, the youngest winner of the Habano Man award. He produces tobacco leaves of the finest quality. When in season, it's possible to see women sewing leaves to the poles inside the barn, or making the bales before manufacturing. You'll take part in the cigar-rolling process at a vault, where a specialist will explain everything about the prizes at the Habano Festival, and you'll get to taste the unmatched flavor of a Cuban cigar. We'll visit a tobacco leaf sorting and stripping house, where the manufacturing process begins. We'll end at a workshop, where a well-known artist leads a project for the production of humidors to preserve the freshness and flavor of the cigars.

We are Daily, Gabriel, and Duarte—natives of Pinar del Río, home to some of the best tobacco in the world. We've grown up running through tobacco fields, smelling the aromas of fermented leaves and our grandpas' handmade cigars. We are passionate about the history, tradition, and culture of tobacco, and we would love to share this passion with you.

Gabriel led the tour and it was a great experience. I genuinely felt I was offered something unique and I highly recommend partaking in this tour, especially if you're interested in tobacco and it's culture. In addition, the team is amazingly welcoming, available, and friendly.

Amazing experience! My guide, Dani were exceptionally passionate and engaged throughout my experience. His knowledge about Cigar and his connections with local farms and business enabled me to understand the ENTIRE Cigar business from tobacco growing, to picking/fermenting and to rolling and smoking it! We visited many sites during a day, including all described and each one was one of its kind. If you like or are intersted in learning about a famous and ancient business like Cuban cigar, you can not miss it. It is simply as exotic as it can be and I find it difficult to imagine any experience better than this with cigar
Personally Dani and I had so much to share on the road and we became friends afterwards. He even helped me found a bus back to Havana even though it was normally late for such kind of service. You must go!!

This was a highlight of Vinales experience and seeing the big tobacco plantation, an official sorting facility and meeting with a prominent cuban tobacco grower, was very fulfilling experience. The tour came with a private guide (Gabriel) who was very enthusiastic about the whole details and is/was a professor at the university of Pinar del Rio. He speaks perfect English and made the tour experience involved. It was like I was getting an official tour of cuban tobacco farm industry by their top ambassador. It was that good.
I do need to add one thing tho, you do need to arrange with a host to get a private taxi before this tour and is extra (60cuc or so) so bring extra cash for that matter. And that was the only hiccup I had with this experience. Go do this tour if you want to see the real high quality tobacco farm and cigars.
