Ozokwenza

This is a perfect way to experience authentic Japanese local life and food, even to find your best frined in Tokyo!!
I'd like to welcome you as my friend to my home. Starting with a short introduction each other, we'd like to prepare foods together. Just as we do as friends in our daily life.
We start with Japanese calligraphy lesson in which you'll write your name in Japanese letters. It is absolute fun!! I will explain the detailed meaning of each character for your name. Any first-time-beginner can enjoy it!
For the lunch, as it's common to welcome guests with a warm pot food in Japan, we'll prepare together one of the most popular pots, shabu-shabu with meat and various kinds of Japanese vegetables assorted with several popular dip sauces .
One fun part of my cooking is to enjoy toasting already while cooking!! We will enjoy several sampling of Japanese sake—not only sake(Rice Wine), but Umeshu(Plum liquor) and Japanese whiskey.
You'll be very very welcomed to my home as my new friends!!
Just a note: We have other family members such as three cats and one Chiwawa dog. As I can ask them to stay in a seperated room, please let me know if you have any problem with it.
Other things to note
Please let me know of any dietary requests in advance.

As I love to make people happy and smile, I've always worked in hospitality-related businesses. I used to work as a cabin crew member and a manager at a concierge company in the past. And until just recently, I had my Japanese food restaurant and welcomed guests as owner as well as a chef. Like your family or best friend, I'll try my very best to make your time in Japan very exciting and memorable.
***If traveling as a group or family unit and cannot find the desired availability, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to accommodate your requests.

Lapho uzoba khona

We'll meet at my closest station, JR Hirai station. Hirai is a very small local station, but it's only 15 minutes away from the center of Tokyo city, and easy access to various famous tourist location, such as Asakusa, Akihabara, Shibuya, Harajuku, or Shinjuku etc where you can easily visit within 20-30 minutes after lunch for some sightseeing.

Ilinganiswe ku-5.0 kokungu-5 ngokusuka kokushiwo abanye okungu-20.

This was awesome! I got to try a lot of stuff I hadn’t tried yet thanks to Kayo. She was an amazing host and very knowledgeable on everything we did. The drinks, food, and activities were all great and all individually worth it by themselves. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and I even plan on coming back to Tokyo next year and doing this again.

Wow! I don't know where to start! My husband and I have had a wonderful experience with Kayo. She was an exceptional hostess whose attention to detail was second to none. During the course of our experience we were served wonderful food and a variety of different types of delicious Japanese liquor. Throughout our time, Kayo was so friendly and easy to talk to. We had so much fun that when it was over and we had left Kayo's restaurant, we felt that we had made a friend. I cannot recommend this experience enough. We cannot wait to return. :-)

This was a great experience! More than just teaching us how to cook shabu shabu, Kayo also taught each of us how to write our name in the Japanese scripts, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. We also learned about some valuable Japanese habits and culture-related tips that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Then we went on to trying different sakes, a Japanese whisky and a delicious plum wine. All the ingredients for the lunch recipe were so fresh, and there was plenty! It was the best shabu shabu I ever had! The two other participants and myself needed to buy a couple things at a supermarket and pharmacy nearby and Kayo went out of her way to help us out finding what we needed. She is a very generous person and really wants to make sure you enjoy your experience in her restaurant and in your trip in Japan. If you have questions about Japan that you always wanted to ask and didn't know to whom, be sure to ask Kayo!

We were a couple and from the first contact with Kayo we knew she is a kind person, quite friendly, and put atention in any detail for we felt comfortable in her adorable restaurant. Its an unique experience because Kayo is unique person too. It is interesting that it is not a neighborhood that is on the radar of tourism, and that had more value for us, since it felt a more genuine experience. The place is formidable decorated and inspired, she recieve us with a special tea for spring season, we enjoyed five 5 types of excelent sake, after we tried writing in japanese caligraphy (funny moment) and we ate an special dish with selected ingredients in Shabushabu technique. Really amazing and all of this with an excelent talk. If you like food, to talk to interesting people, laugh and discover another tokyo since a real japanese person, do not miss this experience, with Kayo all this is guaranteed. Thanks to Kayo for making our last day in Japan so happy, definitly unforgettable and....for your recommendations!

This experience exceeded my expectations, Kayo is an excellent chef and made the cooking experience very enjoyable, the sake tasting was also very educating, she explained the different types of Japanese spirits. After helping prepared the food we enjoyed the best Shabu-Shabu I’ve had so far. Kayo is fluent in english and german I highly recommend this Tokyo experience.
