We are, quite literally, what we eat!

I have always given great importance to what I eat. Good eating habits helped me to maintain a long athlete career spanning 6 Olympics! A good diet with seasonal, local and natural ingredients helps build a healthy immune system to recover from injury or illness. Food is not just for the body, but influences thoughts and emotions as well.

During my travels around the world, I constantly discover new ingredients and recipes, and I want to share these with you.

We will start by making a quick and delicious dessert (a secret recipe perfect for race day! ). Then on to the main course! Together we will create a simple Pasta alla Carbonara (the real Italian way!). The recipes are super simple to do so are suitable for solo beginner chefs to a family cooking session. Throughout the experience, I’ll show you some of my favourite spices and ingredients and shed some light on their health benefits. We’ll also discuss the philosophy of natural nutrition and why it’s important for our wellbeing, immunity, and recovery.

You can also ask me any questions about my personal experiences growing up in the Himalayas and becoming a six-time Winter Olympian. We’ll enjoy our meal together and discuss anything around nutrition, my travels or stories of my athletic career.

I’m a six-time Olympian in Luge, also known as the fastest sport on ice. I am also a ten-time Asian Championship medalist and I hold the Asian speed record and a few others. In my life experience, a wholesome, natural diet is all the fuel you need to become a six-time Olympian. I grew up in a small village in the Himalayas and have been blessed to travel around the world through sport. I have had the fortune of growing up in the birth place of Ayurveda, and I've learned many wonderful things about food from my family tradition and our own organic spice farm. I want to share the recipes and traditional ingredients, some of which are already popular in the west, with you. I’m also adding a personal touch gained from my experiences with cuisines from my travels around the world.

How often would you get a chance to meet a six time Olympian who has represented your country. It was a privilege to meet Shiva and discuss health tips, food and his Olympic journey. His Italian lineage helped him share family secrets as he demonstrated his expertise in cooking up the carbonara and a secret super healthy mousse. I was also privileged to be his first guest. Shiva is affable and super humble that it was so easy to strike a conversation. This is a great experience. Don't miss this. Highly Recommended.
