When was the last time you tried something for the first time? Get ready for an unforgettable experience. You don’t need ‘good balance’ or ‘great fitness’ - this is a sport for everyone. We have wide stable boards that do the balancing for you. All you need is to be able to breathe and relax so you become one with the movement.

Myself and Coach Charlotte will meet you at our SUP beach. We have space for you to store your belongings. This beach is a very calm and safe beach without waves to get out.

The first 10-15 minutes will be spent on the beach learning about the ocean, about how to stay safe in the ocean and the stand up paddling technique. You’ll feel relaxed and orientated to the ocean before you even get your feet wet.

We paddle out on our knees, orientating your body to the movement and the SUP. Once you’re comfortable we stand and experience the ocean from a unique vista – standing on water. We paddle together for an hour and explore the beautiful view of the Durban coast - it’s magical being out there and taking it all in. We often see dolphins, rays, turtles and a vast variety of fish.
Other things to note
We have wide stable boards that do the balancing for you!
You can sit or kneel and paddle. Standing is not essential for an amazing experience.
We have storage for bags and showers and changing rooms.

I first began SUP to help with rehabilitation after an operation and discovered this sport is an incredible fitness and haven’t stopped since. I surf and race a SUP and have won many races. I own a SUP School in Durban and teach many people of all ages and abilities to SUP cruise and experience the ocean – many for the first time. It’s an unforgettable experience.

Just five minutes walk along the beach is a calm area without surf. It’s a beautiful place to SUP. It’s incredible to watch huge ships come into port and take in the Durban bay.
Alternatively we have exclusive access to the Point Waterfront - a magnificent waterway that is part of UShaka Marine’s aquarium. It’s clean and peaceful with lots of fish - one of Durban's hidden gems!

Had such a lovely time paddle boarding for the first time. Charlotte was super patient and got me get comfortable with standing and moving on the board. Really enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again when in Durban.

We loved our SUP lesson with Brandon and Charlotte, they were friendly,knowledgeable, patient and very encouraging during the lesson!Their enthusiasm during the entire lesson just made the lesson even more interesting, you could just tell that this was not just a job it was a passion for both of them. When the lesson started I had no idea what needed to be done and how..I was soo nervous and scared but Brandon and Charlotte were very patient and they put me at ease and encouraged me to try! By the end of the lesson I loved paddle boarding and I cant wait to try it again!

This is a worthwhile experience. I’m in beginner in water and Brandon and team makes the entire experience so much comfortable. I would really recommend this as it’s a lot fun for the whole family

Lovely experience. We couldn't go to the ocean because it was a windy day but the canal provided a serene experience. Got to see fish and some sharks. Brandon and Charlotte are amazing
