Ozokwenza

I invite you for a walkway walk in one of the most beautiful Auckland suburbs, where we'll see how nature oases and ocean beaches organically blend with excellent infrastructure of houses, schools, eateries, sport grounds and other conveniences.

Our base plan is:
- stroll along beautiful North Shore beaches
- exclaim multiple times "ah!" at Hauraki Gulf sea sceneries
- explore NZ's hidden native bush patches
- observe varying architecture of typical Kiwi dwellings
- stop for swim or wharf jump (conditional)
- talk a lot about NZ, your country and travels in general
- try to adjust/enhance your plans for your next steps in NZ
- finish with coffee/food/beer at one of the iconic local eateries
and, importantly, - get a flavour of seeing the country as the locals do

"Walkway" in Auckland is something pretty specific for New Zealand only and could be anything from just a shortcut from one street to another to an easy track through a delightful nature reserve.

In our view your understanding of the NZ lifestyle is not complete if you did not walk NZ’s urban walkways.

WaW@NS is pretty similar to our airbnb.co.nz/experiences/254299 tour with a bit more stress on the "town" part.
Other things to note
Feel free to ask if we can arrange a day/time that is not in the provided schedule.

Please contact me to check if a particular date looks ok with weather etc. conditions.

I live on the North Shore since 2000.

When I am not busy at a software developer’s desk, I spend a good part of my spare time running, cycling, kayaking, skiing, paragliding etc.
Remarkably I can do most of these activities within just 3km of my home.

When we host friends from overseas, I take them on my favourite local routes to show the delightful surroundings of the North Shore - and this is what they later recall as their best NZ lifestyle insight!
Ukuze uvikele ukukhokha kwakho, ungalokothi uthumele imali noma uxhumane nabantu ngaphandle kwewebhusayithi ye-Airbnb noma i-app. Funda kabanzi

Lapho uzoba khona

80% of our carefully crafted route will go through "secret" walkways in the Browns Bay - Murrays Bay area.
We'll walk from 3 to 9 km depending on group fitness, weather and frequency of photo-stops on the way.

Ilinganiswe ku-4.83 kokungu-5 ngokusuka kokushiwo abanye okungu-6.

I had a great time with Alexander. We walked through unique pathways invisible to those who are not familiar with the area. The conversation was quite interesting too, and Alexander even made wakawaka tea which is local yet not really available on regular stores. Overall a very nice experience. I went in the winter so have a warm coat and good shoes helped. It drizzled a little but but not enough to stop the walk. The scenery was magical, and Alexander was kind enough to accommodate to my schedule.

I had a great time with Alex who was warm and friendly. He made the walk not only interesting but educational. This walk is wonderful for people who want to have a taste of the kiwi lifestyle.

One of the most beautiful walks in the world along a magnificent shoreline and through a picturesque subdivision and forest! Alex is extremely knowledgeable about the area having lived here while experiencing a highly "outdoor" and very active lifestyle for over 20 years. We could not have enjoyed it more - and really appreciate Alex volunteering to take a number of spectacular photographs of my wife and I among the incredible scenery. A truly worthwhile experience - we would highly recommend doing this if you want to truly "see" the local landscape!
