You can learn how to make soy milk and tofu from scratch.
We also make a simple tofu dish, miso soup and brown rice and have dinner together.
You will be served the dessert that I made before hand using soy milk.
Other things to note
Genuine macrobiotic and vegan cooking.
Tofu is made from soy beans. If you are allergic to soy, this experience is not suitable.

I really enjoyed making tofu with Nana-san. It was a fun and interesting experience! Nana-san is very kind, she made us feel at home and I learned a lot from her cooking experience and macrobiotic diet. It is also very close from Tokyo, very easy to get there, will definitely come again!

Nana is warm and generous with her knowledge. Her class was a relaxing and information filled break away from hectic Tokyo life. Nana's home is a glorious sanctuary of full of interesting ingredients, foraged produce and home grown vegetables. I learned so much without even realising she was teaching me. I cant wait to return for another class. If you want to stay in the area, make sure to ask for Nana's recommendations, she is an expert on her local area.

We had a very unique experience with Kurina. We were welcomed in Kurina's peaceful home as really special guests. The tofu and soy milk preparation was great, and highly documented. We learnt alot of things. We talked about veganism, she also introduced us to macrobiotics (which we didn't know at all). We met a beautiful person and we'll keep this experiment as one of our best moments during our holidays in Japan. Once back at home we'll make tofu just as Kurina taught us. We can only recommend this course to anyone!

Kurina is an amazing teacher with so much knowledge, patience and wisdom. It was an absolutely amazing time speaking and cooking with her. The tofu came out amazing and I feel I learned a lot about veganism, tofu, and Japanese culture. The location is secluded but her house is devine. I really hope to make it back to see and cook with her again, but until then I'll just watch out for her latest blog post!

Our family had a wonderful time visiting Kurina's home and kitchen for the tofu-making experience and delicious vegan Japanese dinner. She was so kind and flexible to accomodate our travel schedule and family's needs. She asked and answered a lot of questions we had, shared so much information about the food, ingredients and even about her own life story and culture so it was a life-time memory making experience. On top of all that was the delicious food and she even made a few extra things to show me how to use some ingredients I had asked about beforehand. She was super patient with all my questions regarding getting to her home as well as about the ingredients and preparation methods. She was well prepared and we all enjoyed the teas, the appetizers, the tofu-making process and then the beautiful meal she made (and we helped with the final touches). We will never forget our day with Kurina!!

Es war soviel mehr als nur ein Kurs über Tofuherstellung. Ich habe viel gelernt über die Zubereitung von Sojajoghurt, Sojamilch, Käse aus Soja, Miso, Okara, Sake,... und persönliche Einblicke in Kurinas Alltag in Japan erhalten. Das vegane Abendessen war sehr lecker und typisch japanisch. Ich kann diese Entdeckung nur empfehlen. Die Fahrt zum Kurs war unkompliziert und alles gut zu finden.
