La passeggiata è nella Valle e attraversa un sentiero immerso in un paesaggio bucolico stupefacente caratterizzato da verdi ulivi e mandorli secolari. Si ammira tra gli altri la Kolymbetra, polmone sempre verde e rigoglioso di primizie di stagione. Il cammino prosegue incontrando il Tempio di Efesto (Vulcano), il Tempio di Eracle fino a raggiungere il Tempio della Concordia che è uno dei templi meglio conservati dell’antichità. L’ultimo ci saluta augurandoci un caloroso arrivederci il Tempio di Giunone che si trova sull’estremità della collina. We'll have a 2 hours SUP experience including all the materials needed. We meet at puntagrande near the bar...and from there, depending on the wind and on the weather conditions, we will go around the famous Scala dei Turchi or into Puntagrande Bay. First on the sand, we will practice all the movements you need to know and your balance on the board. Once you feel comfortable with it, we will jump into the water! If the weather conditions allow it, we will go until the unique and amazing Scala dei Turchi, around 30min away by paddle. This is a spectacular stretch of coast and thanks to its peculiarity has become an icon of the Sicilian seaside tourism. We will enjoy some time there, observing the nature in its glory. Impasteremo a mano la pasta fresca e prepareremo il pesce o la carne per ricreare piatti antichi della cucina siciliana. Se il tempo sarà sufficiente, realizzeremo anche i cannoli con ricotta. A casa mia si arriva da ospiti e si va via da amici, pertanto non occorre essere formali, ma basta godersi l'esperienza.

La Scala dei turchi è ormai conosciuta in tutto il mondo, fino a pochi anni fa era possibile ammirarla da vicino e toccarla con mano, ma oggi tutto questo non è più possibile a causa di persone incivili. Ai turisti non resta che poterla fotografare dall alto da un piccolo scorcio di terra proprio sopra Realmonte. Io vi do la possibilità di poterla vedere da vicino, non solo la scala dei turchi ma tutta la costa agrigentina! Il tutto avverrà in barca in un giro di circa 3 ore dove ad ogni fermata potete immergervi e nuotare nella splendida e cristallina acqua della scala dei turchi!

Useremo molti prodotti del mio giardino, assolutamente biologici, e vi racconterò, nel mentre che prepariamo le ricette, la storia del piatto che prepariamo. Per me è importante condividere anche la conoscenza della storia del cibo: il cibo è cultura dei popoli. L’esperienza che proponiamo offre l’opportunità di vivere la natura suggestiva dei Monti Sicani attraverso un contatto con il cavallo. La durata è di circa 3 ore e adatta sia a principianti che esperti in sella. La prima parte dell’attività andremo a prendere i cavalli tenuti liberi in azienda per poi pulirli e sellarli insieme. Successivamente monteremo in sella per avventurarci nella Valle del sosio, una delle zone più incantevoli del territorio Sicano. Tra i Monti Indisi ed Hippana risaliremo fino a quota 1200 ammirando in ampia veduta panoramica su gran parte dei Monti Sicani. Durante la passeggiata ci piace inoltre dare alcune informazioni sul nostro territorio sia di natura ambientale che storica. E racconteremo parte del popolo Sicano, il primo a occupare la Sicilia proprio in queste zone, dell’antica polis di Hippana e del dominio greco, degli aspetti geologici e del permiano del sosio, dei paesi limitrofi come Prizzi e Palazzo Adriano. Il nostro trekking si concluderà dopo avere raggiunto la gola formata dal fiume sosio, che in parte seguiremo, fino al rientro in azienda dove sistemeremo i cavalli salutandoli dopo averli avuti come splendidi compagni per questa breve avventura.

You will arrive to my farm, only a short distance from the town of Sciacca. I will introdude you to the history of soap making through a personalized tour of the soap museum, located on site. Following the tour, we will begin the hands on fun of creating our own soap! You will have the option to choose one of our essential oils or a fresh herbal essence picked directly from my garden. Together we will create an olive oil based soap, with a recipe that you will be able to reproduce in your own home! While we wait for your soap to set, we will walk through the olive grove and find an area to sit and enjoy a light olive aperitivo with a glass of local sicilian wine! Other things to note We are in the countryside, so it is best to keep it casual!

We will welcome our guests amidst our olive groves in our premises. While tasting our home made olive oil, Carmelo will introduce himself and explain the procedure of growing olives and olive oil production. After about 30min he will take our guests to the show kitchen which is located in our beautiful bed & breakfast Casa California. Although Carmelo lived and worked as a chef in several countries our cooking class will be exclusively feature traditional Sicilian cuisine. He will explain the heritage of the Sicilian cooking through its whole history of diverse influences of the island. Carmelo will have the guests participate preparing a variety of traditional Sicilian specialities from scratch. After approx. 90min the group will take place at a family table on the patio enjoying the delicious, prepared food al fresco. To complete the culinary experience Carmelo will introduce the guests with a variety of Sicilian traditional wines that pair perfectly with the prepared food.

Successivamente ci sarà il tour alla scoperta della storia dei prodotti derivati dall'olio di oliva e dalla piante endemiche spontanee e coltivate. Alla fine dell'esperienza gli ospiti impareranno a riconoscere le caratteristiche organolettiche dell'olio extra vergine di oliva attraverso una prova di assaggio panel con un piccolo assaggio di olive e una degustazione di tisane a base di piante aromatiche raccolte durante la passeggiata naturalistica
