Beatles 'In My Life' Walk of London
So 'get back' with Richard to the place where the opening scenes for A Hard Day's Night were filmed
the restaurant featured in Help!
the former Apple Shop which had the psychedelic mural painted on the wall
the registry office where two of the Beatles were married
the apartment immortalised by Ringo, John and Yoko where the infamous "Two Virgins" picture was taken
we'll also see the house where Paul lived with Jane Asher. Those were the days ... for it was in that house that John and Paul wrote I Want To Hold Your Hand and Paul dreamed the tune of Yesterday.
And for a grand finale - the legendary Abbey Road studios and crosswalk, where you can pose for a picture just as the Beatles did on their famous album cover.
Guided by Richard Porter - who won the 'Beatles Brain of Britain' competition two years running.
Other things to note
The tour is mainly walking - but we stop every few hundred metres, for me to tell the stories of the Beatles places

Hidden Pubs of London
Join us for a 3hr historical stumble down the "street of shame". Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs including one that claims to be the most haunted in London!
Other things to note
Guests are recommended to be over 18 years of age to enjoy the walk at its best. Anyone lucky enough to look under 25 years of age should bring photo ID.
N.B. We have a small number of hosts running these walks so you might be meeting up with Chris, Mark, Wil or others
Explore Harry Potter's London Tour
Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter in London!
On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations and how they were used in the film series. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here.
I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way.
We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away.
PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential.
While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+.
Strictly one person per slot. No exceptions.
Step-free route for wheelchairs available
This London street walking tour is not affiliated with the WB Studio Tour at Watford.
Other things to note
Every person (over 11yo) will need an Oyster card or contactless payment method with at least £2.40.
The tour contains about 90 minutes of brisk walking so make sure little legs are up for that!

A spooky London bat walk after dark
Join me as we explore London's wild spaces after dark to discover the amazing world of bats. As dusk falls, mysterious creatures emerge from under bridges and out of old trees to hunt. Surrounded by myth and misconceptions, bats are a truly unique group of animals, and much misunderstood.
The focus will be on learning all about bats and their unique biology, why they are so important as ecological 'keystone species', how they navigate in the dark and how each species is highly adapted to its way of life. We'll watch them hunting in various habitats, and excitingly we will use handheld electronic bat detectors to listen to their ultrasonic echolocation calls.
You'll learn how to identify various species, from the tiny flitting Pipistrelles that can fit into a matchbox, to the incredible and comical looking Brown Long Eared bat. With luck, we may spot the Daubenton's or water bat skimming the water surface like a tiny hovercraft. Or our largest bat, the Noctule, almost bird-like flying in open skies with it's military 'chip-chop' call.
We frequently encounter other nocturnal wildlife too, like owls, foxes, hedgehogs and badgers. Who knows what the evening will reveal!
Other things to note
Social distancing can be observed, bat detectors wiped down between uses. The walk is very safe as many joggers and walkers use the Heath to cut through, even in late evenings. We'll be sticking to wide open paths for the most part, but need to take care of trip hazards

The art of Indian homecooking
Don’t let COVID-19 stop you from travelling to India. Find it right here in my little home in London.
So far, I have hosted over 500 guests from all around the world (over 25 countries). I have celebrated birthdays with them, shared beautiful conversations and unforgettable moments with them.
It will be a small group, so we will all do the cooking together, like a bunch of friends in an Indian kitchen!
INTRODUCTION TO SPICES
We will learn about ‘Garam Masala’. And no, it’s not just “curry powder”. It’s the basis of understanding individual spices. I will teach you how to blend them to *your* taste. We will create a blend together!
INTRODUCTION TO CURRY
A basic (yet full of flavour) curry lesson, and here I will teach you how this basic recipe can turn from a healthy weekday meal into a weekend feast.
MAGIC OF THE INDIAN KITCHEN
We will learn about making homemade things like yoghurt, or paneer, or ghee (it’s much better/cheaper than buying it off the shelf AND IT IS MAGIC). I will also show you a magic trick of how to make amazing rice.
THE FEAST
We will feast on what we cook!
YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A HANDOUT OF THE DAY’S LESSONS. No time for note-taking, as you’ll be busy cooking, tasting, eating and talking!
Remember, this is all about learning that we Indians do eat Indian food regularly, so it’s obviously not as complicated as you think it is.

This experience will bring to life the history and culture of this magnificent town and the people who live here. I have been proudly navigating these streets for the last 12 years, so, as you can imagine, there's not much I don't know.
From the Unmissable World Famous sights that London has to offer to the Secret parts of the City that visitors rarely see, we will meander our way around 20km of streets exploring all that London has to offer. Sit back in the comfort of my electric taxi complete with glass panoramic roof, and I will bring the sights to you, pointing out interesting facts and trivia of what you will see. We'll stop for photos whenever we please, at all the best spots and at our own pace :-)
There's no safer and more convenient way to explore London.
PLEASE NOTE - THIS WILL BE A PRIVATE TOUR SO YOUR PARTY WILL BE THE ONLY GUESTS IN THE TAXI

Who's the tour guide?
I'm Loona Hazarika of Let's Discover London and I have guided thousands of people around my birthplace London since 2006. I have appeared on TV history shows on BBC TV and SKY Atlantic. I worked as a staff tour guide for the British Museum for 5 years. I have a masters degree from the University of Cambridge.
Please note: You are strongly advised to pre-book free entry tickets on the British Museum website in advance of the tour due to strike action in 2023 that limits visitors.
A Secret Tour - Explore Hidden London off the Beaten Track
London is only truly experienced when you venture off the well-worn tourist track so that you can see, hear and feel the place the same way a local does. Only then will you get close to the true essence, to the true heart, to the very fabric of the place you are in and have an experience like no other.
We'll leave the famous main sights to the side and are going to peek behind the scenes of glitzy mainstream London away from the tourist areas.
We'll see local communities, walk along an exotic street market and discover urban oddities. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge about London's modern urban history, about its current challenges and future developments.
Also, there's a nice break at a street market where we can grab some lunch (not included in the price).
I am very much looking forward to having you on my London safari. Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London, show you something to make you change your mind.
Fabian
