Then we go to Guatapé, where we enjoy lunch (own expense) before strolling around the most important landmarks of a town full of color, friendly people and corners with fascinating stories that we’re going to share with you, how the tradition of "zócalos" (house facades painted) started and why is important for the inhabitants; if you are a chocolate lover, there's a shop waiting for you, also you will have time to buy handicraft and souvenirs from the local stores. I'll explain the social transformation of Medellin's Buenos Aires neighborhood, pointing out infrastructure and projects that can be seen from the rooftop in the breathtaking surrounding mountains. I'll also share the challenges and successes of building the training center from scratch with my own hands. Back in the kitchen, we'll put on our aprons to prepare a delicious meal with traditional, less common Colombian dishes (rarely found in restaurants), paired with popular dishes from our community project transforming local produce into healthy flavors from around the world. But before we get cooking, we'll have an exotic fruit tasting and prepare a fresh juice for the meal. After cooking we'll enjoy the food and photos in our unique colonial style patio space, where I've recuperated city heritage with hundred year old doors and windows. El tour te permitira vivir una experiencia sensorial atraves del café y los sentidos, el reconocimiento del trabajo de los campesinos atraves de su cultura Arriera en santa elena, iniciaremos en el punto de encuentro pactado (Centro comercial LA CENTRAL) y tomaremos un carro particular con rumbo a mi casa, una finca cafetera de tradición donde mi madre nos recibirá con un delicioso jugó natural y un pequeño postre de bienvenida, seguido a esto iniciaremos el proceso del café en la finca Casablaca con la indumentaria correspondiente (sombrero, poncho y canasto) y nos prepararemos para conocer el proceso del café Colombiano ( siembra, recolección, beneficio y secado), 4 estaciones en las que ustedes realizarán todo el Proceso del café, al terminar el proceso almorzaremos un típico campesino antioqueño, preparado con las verduras orgánicas de nuestra finca después degustaremos cada una de nuestras 4 líneas de café diferenciado, y el té de cáscara de café. I will pick you up personally at 6am in a comfy SUV and take you to my grand parents home, views in the way to the farm are STUNNING so you will see the green Medellin country side We will get to our 100 YEARS OLD farm at 7am and welcome you with a fresh cup of coffee or with an orange juice from our farm trees. After this we will go and share with the cows, you will learn how to milk a cow and we will feed a baby calf with some milk. 8:15 am we will have a very traditional breakfast ALL MADE from ingredients from the farm, and believe me guys, will be the best home made breakfast you will have in your entire visit to Medellin!!! It is my grand ma' special recipe 9:15 am we get ready and head up to the mountains riding the most gentle horses you ever could ride. At the top of the mountain we'll get off from the horses and set up a picnic where we will have a fresh bowl fruits from the farm while enjoying the spectacular valley views Around 11am we get back to the farm to feed the horses with carrots (they love it) and brush their hair while giving them some love in a way to say thanks for the ride.
