LGBTQ Castro Tours
Explore the largest sexual and gender diverse community in the world and cruise the Castro like a local on this fun and fascinating two-hour LGBTQ cultural walk. As a long-time resident and civil rights activist, I'll show you why diversity is celebrated as we meet real people with real stories in this beautiful village of rainbows. Offering the most comprehensive LGBTQ tour in the world, you'll visit twice as many historical sites than any other tour experience. Discover how the Gold Rush, World War II, civil rights leader Harvey Milk, the AIDS epidemic, and the Rainbow Honor Walk created such a strong and progressive LGBTQ community. Learn how LGBTQ equality and civil rights are still being fought for in the United States today. Private groups of 10 or more can be accommodated on a request basis and are subject to availability. Other things to note Fortunately, San Francisco's weather is mostly mild year round so tours operate rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Our route is easy, with no large hills and is handicapped accessible. There will be adult content.
Crabbing under the Golden Gate Bridge
We will meet at a pier in the Marina/Presidio district of San Francisco where we will be located near the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of the water will be spectacular and because of the size of the pier we will have more than enough room to spread out and try our techniques. Make sure to arrive early so you can find parking and pay for it if need be near The Warming Hut cafe. Once all the guests have arrived we will learn to set up the equipment we will supply with a very detailed explanation of how and why we use particular gear. Once we have set up our rods, filled our bait in our traps we will learn the different forms of casting and the technique of reeling. Because we are fishing for crab there is a different approach to how you catch crab off of a rod and reel. We will not be allowed to take home any Dungeness crab, unfortunately, because the Bay is a protected estuary. As a result we will be catching rock & red crab which are edible and delicious crabs to take home. This experience is an all weather endeavor so rain or shine we will make it happen. Please join me as many others have to see if spending an afternoon out on the waterfront of the bay, meeting new people and learning a skill is right for you! Great for big groups, corporate outings and team building exercises! Please inquire directly if you have 10+ people www.theartofcrabbing.com

Guided Tour of an Iconic Painted Lady Home on Postcard Row
We provide a guided tour of one of San Francisco's most iconic homes- one of the Painted Ladies on Postcard Row, Alamo Square. The Painted Ladies are all private homes, rarely open to the public. Tours are tailored to the interests of the group; film, tv, architecture, history, historic preservation, all presented in an informal, friendly, storytelling format. One of the best preserved of the circa 1894 homes in this row, this home is filled with family heirlooms and the stories of those who once owned them, dating back to 1849 and the Gold Rush. Visitors will have a unique experience of what it is like to live in one of the most well-known homes in America through the eyes of a native, an historian- who has been the owner for over two decades.
Camp like a Californian: Yosemite
Day 1 In the morning of the first day, your guide will meet you at the Hilton Union Square before leaving the city behind. We cross the Central Valley and through gold rush country on our way into the mountains. We'll break up the drive with a short stop to pick up lunch for the day and any other last minute necessities you might need. Upon reaching the park, enjoy lunch among giants as we arrive at a grove of Giant Sequoia trees. Your guide will recommend a hike to explore these fascinating trees, some which measure up to 300 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and some older than two thousand years old. Continuing further into the park with a narrated tour by your guide, you'll descend into Yosemite Valley and be delighted by Tunnel View, one of the most famous and photographed parts of the park. While in Yosemite Valley, your guide will give you an orientation to the park as well as an explanation of the itinerary and options for the next two days. Now it's time to head to camp and get set up for the next few days. We supply the camping and cooking equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment. Everybody is expected to participate in the set-up and breakdown of camp. Dinner is included tonight and your guide will make sure to provide all the ingredients for a home-cooked feast at camp. Top off your first night camping with a campfire. Day 2 Travel to Yosemite National Park to hike among a grove of Giant Sequoias & experience one of the best views in the park. Day 3 Spend a full day exploring Yosemite High Country & hitting the trails. Your guide will recommend all the best spots. Pack up camp and set out for one last epic hike among some of Yosemite's tallest waterfalls.

The tour will last approximately 3 hours and you will get to see all that San Francisco has to offer including 5 photo stops. Enjoy neighborhoods such as Chinatown, North Beach, The Marina, Haight Ashbury and The Castro with photo stops at Coit Tower, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Point (under the Golden Gate Bridge), Twin Peaks and Alamo Square. Your guide will drop you off at the same location where you were picked up. Other things to note: Bring a camera, light jacket, and a smile. We'll provide a bottle of water. Make sure to be a little early if possible so you can find the pick-up location.
Intro to Pottery Wheel Throwing-Take a Claycation
We will literally get down to earth, get centered and throw some mud on the potter's wheel. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty and explore the depth of your creative spirit. Our master potter will demonstrate the mesmerizing process of throwing a basic cylinder on the wheel. Then its your turn to get your hands into the clay and create your own masterpiece. Anything you want to keep will be trimmed, bisque fired, glazed and glaze fired by our master potter's and made available for you to pick up at a later date (3-6 weeks). After you have created your masterpieces, the last 15 minutes of class will be for clean-up. If you want to use all your time creating, for a small fee, the teacher will do the clean-up for you, just ask. *Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time. Late arrivals disrupt the flow of the demonstration and won't give you the time you will want to create. *For a private group or team session at a date and time of your choice, please send me a message. Other things to note Children are welcome with an adult guarding registered and participating in the same class.
Palace of Fine Arts Boozy Brunch Crawl with a Mixologist
Experience a brunch in SF like never before! Let me take you on a journey to view some of the most historic sites while you enjoy delicious dishes and cocktails that are only found in SF! As a certified mixologist, I know amazing drinks and great food. I have previously been comissioned by popular resorts to lead inspirational trainings on the history of American Cocktailian culture as well as develop their cocktail programs. As a 15+ year SF-resident I love to share historical facts about this amazing city. This mostly walking tour kicks off in the lovely and lively Marina District which includes a stop for a photo op at the Palace of Fine Arts and ends with an uber ride at the place where the Irish Coffee was first introduced to America in 1952 at Fisherman's Wharf. We'll enjoy a 90 minute brunch at a Michelin-recommended, American-Thai fusion restaurant known for their delicious and famously trademarked specialty dish. This tour is really great for locals and individuals that may be traveling alone through the city and want to feel like they are getting shown around by an old friend as well as for couples and small groups that enjoy sight seeing while maintaining a "nice buzz." This tour includes stops at 6 different locations with the first 4 happening within a 3 block radius. This is one of the best walking tours with no hills!
Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session. Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest. Other things to note Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.
