Discover what it's like to run an 8 acre tropical fruit farm in paradise! You'll use all our senses on a walking tour of Lokoea Farms. We'll give you some history of the farm and the area, and guide your exploration of our 3 orchards to learn about the ethnobotany and horticulture of Hawai‘i's unique fruit trees and harvest some fruits in season. Get ready to marvel at our vanilla plants and smell the aroma of our vanilla beans. You'll even get to help feed our hilarious chickens, and collect their rainbow-colored eggs. Then it's time for our picnic! We'll relax on the lawn or at the picnic table overlooking the gorgeous orchid-filled gardens while you eat your fill of farm-grown exotic tropical fruit and nuts - the freshest, most delicious, and perfectly in season delicacies. We'll teach you how to use our coconut husker to open up a coconut. Nothing store-bought can compare to the amazing flavor of coconut water and meat from a just-picked nut. You'll even use our special nutcracker to experience the rich flavor of our macadamia nuts. Other things to note Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. We have a composting toilet available at the farm. Starbucks or McDonalds in Haleiwa also have public restrooms. You may want to bring bug spray and water bottle.

The ocean is a wonderous and magical place with creatures that often seem more incredible than what we could conjure up in our own imaginations. Come with me and my Co-Host Levi as we search for and encounter the incredible creatures that make up Hawaii's nocturnal marine life. We will meet up in the evening at Sharks Cove on the North Shore of Oahu. Our exciting experience begins on the shore. We will talk story about the unique and wondrous marine ecosystems of Hawaii as well as give you some safety tips so we have an exceptional, fun and safe experience. When we are done talking story we will get our underwater lights, mask and snorkels, and reef shoes and head into the water to search for the nocturnal marine animals in the tidal areas of Sharks Cove. Most of these unique creatures we will be looking for can only be found after dark. We talk about every unique animal we encounter. After a wonderous time in the water we will head back to the shore and get cleaned up with a hot shower i provide on location. after our experience is concluded I will be providing previously captured photos of all the amazing animals we will see for your own keep sake. This experience is perfect for groups, families or individuals. No swimming experience needed but guests should be comfortable on uneven ground and being in shallow water.

We are excited to teach you you how to create your own unique lei po'o (flower crown). You will choose your own tropical flowers and create a unique and beautiful custom piece made with fresh flowers. All of our flowers are locally sourced from local gardens and we support local farmers. We also provide high quality local store bought flowers such as torch ginger, cymbidium orchids, anthuriums, etc. Our workshop is high end because we use high end flowers and natural materials sourced from Polynesia (Lauhala leaves from Tahiti). Your leis will last 3-4 days and will enrich your Hawaii experience tenfold. While making your lei, I will share the cultural meanings of our leis and why we wear them in Hawai'i. I am born and raised in Laie, Hawaii and have lived here for 27 years. I am passionate about my culture and I would love to share it with you. The lei will be created from: plumeria, puakenikeni, stephanotis, tiare, bougainvilla, pikake, orchid, crown flower, tuberose, lantern ilima, depending upon what flowers are in season. Most flowers are unique to Hawaii and are harvested the night before or the morning of your class. The lei will be created using the Kui(piercing) method. You can choose to make a traditional neck Lei or a Lei Po'o/flower crown. There is also a Hili style Lei Po'o/Flower Crown class available(advanced lei making). Other things to note: We are slightly flexible with the schedule, so let us know if different times work better for you. Class is on the beach so please bring your own beach towels or chairs.

Your 2- hour paddleboard session begins with a brief lesson on land before entering calm water. We travel up the Anahulu river, home of the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Sunset is the PRIME TIME to see turtles, since they meander back up river at the end of the day. These gentle giants grace the river, coming up occasionally to say "hi". You will learn the skills and techniques of stand up paddling as you travel along the calm river. No mosquitos or flies, no currents, just fish, turtles, and lush banks. Paddle against an awe-striking Hawaiian sunset as the clouds change from pink to purple. You will be stand up paddling at a location known by photographers as ideal for sunset photo taking. Photos will be taken throughout your session, including with the sunset, and shared directly with your phone at the end of your session. We'll begin at Blue Planet Hale’iwa, where everyone will meet Phoenix, our lead SUPDog! She's a lovely four-year-old Lab who loves people and swimming. We'll do a quick stand-up paddleboard training, covering the basics of paddling: Equipment, Balance, How to Paddle, Conditions, and Safety. Then we'll head out on the water. The Haleiwa River on the North Shore has glassy smooth water, perfect for entry-level stand up paddling. Phoenix and her friends will hop on everyone's board, joining them for photos during their unique and entertaining paddleboarding experience amongst the Pacific. We'll paddle for an hour, and then head back to the beach to shower, share stories and take a group photo. This experience includes a certified Stand-Up Paddle Instructor (PSUPA), ALL necessary equipment, and live-action photos and videos shareable through airdrop or Google drive. Aloha and welcome! The islands provide so much natural beauty, from the mountains to the beaches. But few places compare to a Hawaiian sunset. If sunsets away from the crowded beaches of Waikiki sound like your kind of activity then this is for you! Kaena Point is a beautiful area that offers breathtaking coastline and an abundance of flora and fauna only found in Hawaii. To start, I'll meet you at the trailhead to Kaena Point. There is access from the westside or the north shore. We can coordinate which is convenient for you. Upon meeting, I'll provide you with backpacks to put your belongings in, so bring your camera, towel, favorite water bottle, or what ever else you want to bring. I''ll also provide water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, and flashlights so that you can focus on the beauty of experience. There will be places to get in the water if you'd like and definitely places along the way to take photos. The trail is primarily flat to the very end so this is definitely family friendly. Along the way, I'll point out some points of interest as well as share some of the cultural significance of the area to ancient Hawaiians. Once we get to the end, you can decide on the best view to watch the sunset, whether it is on the beach surrounded by water or up on a pill box overlooking the point. Once we finish I'll guide you back to the trail head under the stars!

Welcome to the North Shore! I’m your teacher Chance King, I’m born and raised right here on the North Shore. I’m an avid big wave rider & waterman, With a lifetime of experience and ocean safety im sure you will have the time of your life out in the water with me! I founded Haleiwa Surf School in 2017 out of my joy for teaching the world how to surf. You are guaranteed to get up and riding on your first session, Whether you are a total beginner or are looking to sharpen your skills as an advanced wave rider, i’ll be more than happy to teach you everything i know! We start our session with a short beach lesson, i’ll go over safety, how the currents of the ocean & lineup works, some surf etiquette, and finally some instructions on how to stand properly on your board. Then we hit the water! I’ll be right with you in the ocean the whole time assisting you on waves. If you are surfing with your family or a large group, i’ll have additional instructors there to help your group. Bring the whole family! All ages can participate. You will meet many of our beloved farm animals! This experience is interactive and there are many animals who want your affection and attention. What animals you will help with depend on what is needed the day you visit. We begin with a safety lesson on farm life and interacting with farm animals. You will learn many animal cues and signals. Even very young children can enjoy and participate as long as an adult family member is beside them! You will get to hands on enjoy many of the animals on our mini farm, with a mini class on horse whispering, plus a walk and talk farm tour! This experience was created to offer an inexpensive hands on opportunity with farm animals to all ages and abilities. While with the animals we may do some minimal clean up to animal areas, fill hay bins, or check and refill water buckets, as we learn to care for all of them. We have many 5 star experiences on Airbnb, so please feel free to check them out to learn more about us. Many have asked for an opportunity to join us on our farm and be a part of the animal care time, If that interests you then this is the experience for you. Then, we’ll suit up and walk a short distance through the banana farm to the beehives! We'll do our best to point out the queen in a hive, see a bee birth, collect fresh bee pollen, and let you hold a frame of raw honeycomb! We will start with a brief history of the Samoan Fire-knife dance (Siva Afi). We will personally go over some of the basic moves with practice sticks as well as demonstrate fire safety. This will be a unique hands on learning experience for those who wish to participate. From there, we will put on a brief performance and during the show we will be inviting those who are comfortable to join us. You get a chance to play with the fire! Instead of just watching the fireknife dancer, you become the fireknife dancer! Even if it’s just for a quick pose for the camera, you’ll return home with pictures and experiences you just can’t get anywhere else. In 2022, there are limited openings so message us if you can’t find an open experience to book. Learn the secrets to communicating with horses, & meet a certified miniature therapy horse, & two other miniature horses! Weather depending you may also meet other miniature farm animals. This hands-on horse whisperer class gives back to our island community as your visit provides valuable exposure to new people these horses need to continue serving those in need. This is the only opportunity on Oahu to hands on experience miniature horses. This amazing lesson will cover basic horsemanship, plus horse cues & signals that will guide you to feel more relaxed in the presence of all animals & any size horse. Discover the magical world of horses, & interact with the horses personally! Learn how horses communicate when they choose to be our friends & want to work with us. You will have many opportunities to capture photos and selfies with the horses. This is a working farm, we are vaccinated and we sanitize our equipment as well as is possible, but, you will be outside in a large open area with live animals that respond better when they can see your face. Please book a private session if you prefer to be isolated from other guests during your encounter or if you do not speak English well. The safety aspects must be understood to participate fully.
