Then we will prepare a complete vegetarian lunch together using many herbs and fruits from my field, but also carefully chosen products and selected by the farmers of our neighbors. We will make stuffed pasta, ravioli or other pasta with your hands, without the use of machines, then vegetarian sauces with zucchini or aubergines, artichokes or pumpkin, and even fried or braised vegetables and a tasty dessert. It will be a unique opportunity to get to know an area rich in history and local traditions and discover secret places! We will meet at the train station of Frascati and will go by car through the Castelli Romani area and take some short walks nearby. First, we will walk through the center of Castel Gandolfo town, visiting fantastic views of lake Albano and Castel Gandolfo. Next stop is Nemi, famous for its wild strawberries, porcini mushrooms and truffles. We can have lunch at Stefano's family restaurant, where they still cook fresh handmade pasta. Then we will do a short walk on an ancient Roman road up to the ruins of the ancient city of Tusculum. Finally, we will visit Monte Porzio, famous for its wine and we will stop at Mauro's sixteenth-century tavern, which will open its doors just for us. We will meet him, drink wine made by him and taste cheese and wine with biscuits. We will then take out our acoustic instruments and you can try singing songs along with us if you like.
