There’s an even faster way to get the money you earn hosting on Airbnb.

A new payout method called Fast Pay delivers your earnings within 30 minutes, even on weekends and holidays. Other methods, including bank transfers, can take up to five business days.

Fast Pay is available for a small fee to Hosts with an eligible U.S. Visa or Mastercard debit card. You’ll be able to choose it as a payout option in the coming weeks.

    How Fast Pay works

We release your earnings about 24 hours after a guest’s scheduled check-in time or the start of a guest’s Experience.

When you choose Fast Pay your earnings are sent to a U.S. Visa or Mastercard debit card within 30 minutes of release.* You don’t have to wait for the next business day (or longer) to access your funds.

Fast Pay is available to Hosts with a U.S. Visa or Mastercard debit card, regardless of where you live or your listing’s location. You can use most Visa and Mastercard debit cards, including reloadable prepaid ones, with a U.S. billing address.** Payouts are made in U.S. dollars, and transaction limits apply.

The Fast Pay processing fee is 1.5% of your net payout (the total after your service fee and taxes are withheld), up to $15 USD maximum, including tax where applicable. The processing fee is automatically deducted from your payout.

    Setting up Fast Pay

In your account settings, go to Payments & payouts and select “Add payout method” or “Set up payouts.” Choose Fast Pay as your payment method. Continue to the next screen to add your U.S. Visa or Mastercard debit card.

After we release your funds, a line item labeled “Payout” will appear for that guest’s reservation in your Airbnb account. You can check the status of any payout in your Transaction History.

Expecting a large payout? If it exceeds the Visa or Mastercard transaction limits, you won’t get paid until you choose another method, such as a bank transfer. To avoid delays, we recommend updating your settings ahead of time to receive your payout by traditional bank transfer.
