We've lived here in this calm and peaceful area for over 20 years, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Having the little gite 'Daisy's' is a great way to meet people, and we have met so many lovely people. It's very rewarding when I hear how much they've enjoyed spending time in this tranquil environment.

Indawo
We call the little house Daisy's after the original owner, Marguerite, who had lived there all her life. After she died many years ago we bought and completely renovated the house to make it into this little secluded gite. The downstairs living space has a kitchen area, sitting and eating area. There's a wood burning stove that makes the house very cosy and warm in winter and autumn. Upstairs is the bedroom with comfortable double bed and an en suite shower room. Theres's south facing terrace with outdoor furniture, and a separate lower terrace with table and chairs. overlooking the valley.

Unfortunately Barbara your host will be unavailable during your stay and will therefore not be able to meet and greet etc. Would you please bring your own bedding, towels, tea towels etc. For sizing the mattress is 140 x 190; duvet 200 x 200; 2 x Euro pillows 60 x 60; 2 x UK pillows 70 x 50. Thank you in advance.

Ukungena kwesivakashi
You will have access to the garden, small patio out the front and a little car park area in front of the main house when you pull up.

Ezinye izinto okumele ziqashelwe
'Daisy's' is tucked away in a secluded position with a great view overlooking the valley. Apart from walking and generally relaxing there are some very interesting places to visit.

Saint-André-de-Chalencon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, i-France

The tiny medieval village of Chalencon a few kms. away, is superb, and well worth the walk down to the Devils Bridge over the River Ance. The Coulee de lave, up on the plateau above us is the Coulee de Lave a flow of basalt rocks dates back millions of years. Then there's the beautiful medieval town of Le Puy en Velay 40 minutes drive away and in the opposite direction La Chaise Dieu with it's abbey famous for it's Gothic architecture, and fresco on the Dance of Death! On a smaller scale there's a small village on the other side of Craponne sur Arzon, where every summer they have about 40 scarecrows dressed as different characters dotted around the village in various humorous situations. For eating out there are plenty of small reasonably priced, auberge and restaurants in the area, including two that are really exceptional.
