A cosy town house. The warm feel of a ship's cabin, according to previous guests. Right in Leiden city center and yet so quiet. Recently, a construction historian estimated the inner walls of the house from 1670.

My place is ideally suited for singles and couples without children. An excellent starting point to explore Leiden and the region on foot or by bike. Several guide booklets with diferent walks/bicycle tours are available. Katwijk beach is at a half hour by bus.

Personally, I find it amazing that when I chopped away a thick layer of stucco, a beautiful old wall came out. It is dated back to 1670.

The house is surrounded by local canals. It is a very calm neighbourhood right in the city center. Little car traffic, other than locals. Neigbours know each other and look after each other. You are invited to interact, but it's completey at your own will. Together, we look after the communal plants on the street. Close to the house there is a small park where dog owners go and where it is great to relax near the water side. The nearest supermarket is 6 minutes by foot.
