All essential furnished air conditioned rooms with single mattress beds with comfy foam toppers, pillow, all linens, blanket and towel. Extra pillows, blanket and towels freely available. Service tray (dishes, cup and glass) provided in each room for your personal use. The toilet and shower are all shared, and we provide hand soap and body wash for your use.

Currently under renovations and is reflected in the price. So if you want a hotel room........book a Hotel.

Also a PADI diver training center however feel free to use the pool to cool down and unwind and relax after a day out sight seeing.

Self check in is preferred (see instructions).

We have been hosting backpackers, student divers, and travelers for over 14 years in this share-house, and on tours on board our GBR charter vessel Rum Runner Cairns

Everything included: Electricity, hot and cold water, unlimited WiFi internet, laundry supplied linens and towels (same as used on the vessel), clothes washing machine with free powder, toilet paper, dish-washing products and servicing to all common areas.

We have 1 share shower room and 1 separate share toilet. (see photos)

There are 5 bedrooms downstairs each of which contain single mattress beds, table, chairs, clothes hanging rack and AC unit. All of our downstairs bedrooms are used for Airbnb hosting and hosting Rum Runner guests before and after their reef trips, so you will be able to meet some fantastic, fun, and interesting people when you stay with us!

Cairns is a fantastic tropical city to visit or live. It is filled with loads of day activities, great restaurants and a fun nightlife. We live close enough to the city, esplanade and waterfront lagoon, Marlin Marina and Rusty's Markets for you to walk.

Staying this close to Cairns Central everything is close by; KFC and McDonald's / McCafe are just down the road, great sushi place on Sheridan St, and easy to get Chinese Takeout on McLeod St. And there's always Cairns Central Shopping Centre with supermarket, food courts, cafes, and the cimena's.
Walking around town at night is fine, stay on the main lighted roads and McDonald's is open 24 hours. However it is not recommended to walk home alone in the very early hours of the morning. Best to get a cab.
