We are an independent family run hotel we are 5 mins away from the town centre, just 20 mins away from the Quay side and our closest beach, The Tunnels is 8 mins to walk. The Hotel is set over 3 floors your suite is situated on the second floor, there are no lifts, there are seating areas on each landing. Your suite offers stunning views over the garden and Ilfracombe. The suite comprises of a lovely pine double bed, with flat screen TV and a DVD player, you have your own dressing area and seating area over looking the garden. There is a separate shower en-suite off the dressing area. Your suite does have tea and coffee facilities, these will be replenished daily when the suite is serviced. The Darnley was built in 1921 and retains many of it's original features.

You also have access to the restaurant to enjoy a meal, snack or afternoon tea. You can enjoy a drink in the Garden after, weather permitting. We offer free parking. There is the wooded path which leads down to the junction of St Brannocks Road and Church Hill.
Breakfast is an additional £6.00 per head

You enter the complex thru our arched entrance from Belmont Road, we set in lovely Victorian street full of period homes. The beautiful Church is just up the road, complete with Lynch gate entrance and really old grave stones, bell ringing practice is Wednesday evening and of course they chime for Sunday service.
Our favourite Café is the Manor House Café in the High Street and we love a good carvery at the William Arms, Braunton. A must is Fremington Quay Café, with an amazing drive along the edge of the estuary to get there!
