Professionally cleaned between guests. Quiet and private for a relaxing good night sleep on a firm bed with duvet and pillow options. The unit is adjacent to our home but very private. Self check-in means you may not even meet us. The unit is not luxury accommodation but it is spacious, clean and includes everything you might have at home from an ironing board to a hair dryer.

Great for a one night stop-over or long term stays as it is a fully furnished self contained flat.

Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. The cupboard contains common hot drink options, muesli and porridge for your breakfast plus there will be fresh milk and eggs in the fridge when you arrive and a recipe for making your own pancakes. Just bring your favourite toppings. Help yourself to lettuce and herbs from the garden in front of the flat or lemons from beside the heatpump unit.

The queen bed is relatively new and fairly firm with a pillow top mattress protector. There are six pillows to choose from and extra blankets in the wardrobe.

The combined bathroom/laundry has a shower, toilet, washing machine, detergent, dryer, laundry tub, hand basin, ironing board and hair dryer.

The living room has a heat pump, flat screen tv and several drawers full of dvds from the 1990s/early 2000s for you to watch. Normal Freeview TV channels are also available. The small dining table can fold out to double size. Wifi signal is extended from our place. Signal strength is very good - if not, the extender gadget may have accidentally been unplugged. Just ask and we’ll get it fixed.

Babies and toddlers are welcome if you bring something for them to sleep in i.e. a portable cot. You could even bring a child or teen if you bring a blow up bed or stretcher to fit in the lounge area.

Access the lock box details from airbnb to get the key and check yourself in anytime after 3pm. Early check-in can often be arranged on request.

Watlington is an ordinary residential neighbourhood of Timaru. We live on a quiet street on a back section so the only noise you might hear over night time is if a neighbour hosts a backyard party which is seldom.
