Set at the back of a tranquil garden in the countryside, with views across green pastures where horses graze. the ‘Hobbit Hut’ is a cosy outhouse, built with love and imagination using reclaimed materials.

The Hobbit Hut contains a comfortable double bed with plenty of pillows and cushions, small table and chairs, and tea/coffee making facilities. Clean towels are also provided.

We adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocol.

Indawo
The 'Hobbit Hut’' sits in the tranquil garden of Chy Cos. Chy Cos (which means ‘house in the woods’ in Cornish) is a beautifully modern semi-detached stone built house. There is a garden ‘Bali style’ wet room facility made with earth walls, containing a toilet and hot shower, and an open cold water wash basin.

It has quirky yet minimalistic interiors; the walls are lined with eclectic fabrics, relics reminiscent of a bygone era are scattered about the place, and pretty stained glass windows adorn the walls, thus making it the perfect accommodation for those looking for something a little different.

We have created a fun and affordable alternative accommodation for the more adventurous outdoor folk, yet with the necessary creature comforts!

The property is set in a prime location in the rural, Cornish countryside, surrounded by horses grazing on green pastures, woodlands, and the seaside. The peaceful country setting, just tucked out of the way from the hustle and bustle of St Ives, makes spending time here a real pleasure.

You will never be short of things to do here, from woodland, moorland, or coastal walks, to paddle boarding or surfing at the beach, or enjoying a delicious meal at one of St Ives finest restaurants. We are just a short drive or walk away from some of the spectacular attractions St Ives has to offer:

Knill’s Steeple/Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve - 10 min walk/2 min drive
Carbis Bay Beach - 20 min walk/5 min drive
Porthminster Beach - 25 min walk/5 min drive
St Ives Town - 25 in walk/5 min drive o

St. Ives (Cornwall), United Kingdom, i-United Kingdom

The area sits on a typical Cornish country lane. The place is surrounded by fields on the outskirts of Steeple Woods (with one of the towns famous monuments). There is a traditional Cornish pub at the bottom of the lane and a large super market a 5 minute walk away. In a position that borders both the coast and the country, you are never short of scenic colastal walks and country adventures. St Ives town centre is a 25 minute walk away or a 2-minute drive. The traditional old fishing village made of cobble streets and quaint old fisherman's hideouts, sits in the middle of 4 beautiful, white sandy beaches. With its fluorescent light, the place is an artists heaven, home to the world renowned Tate gallery and the famous Barbara Hepworth museum. Aside from its abundance of galleries and museums, St Ives also has a historic surf culture that brings surfers and other water sports enthusiasts from all over England to enjoy.
