Villa is approx 1600 sq ft on two floors, two bedrooms on the top floor with full bathrooms each. Bedrooms offer a private patio/sundeck where you can relax on the enticing day beds. The master bedroom provides floor-to-ceiling 14-foot high double-sliding glass doors with beautiful SHEER curtains that highlight the beautiful view. (Please have a sleeping mask if you want to sleep late during the day.)

Wake up to an incredible tropical view with the sounds of the ocean, howler monkeys, and green parrots.

Welcome to Playa Potrero's Surf Side area. This neighborhood is a thriving local beach community of Ticos and world-citizens who live here to experience Costa Rica's exotic nature and culture. Here you can meet new friends with similar interests!

Surf Side has an amazing array of restaurants and bars all within a short walking distance. People are friendly and helpful, so it feels safe and inviting to walk the beach to the local attractions in the evenings. We have plenty of entertainment options here without an overly touristy "party" life.

Our home is El Delfin in Stef Surf. Families and friends choose our El Delfin Villa because it is gorgeous and Stef Surf's tropical garden is one-of-a-kind. We are also close to a variety of beautiful beaches with surfing, diving, sailing, and more!

Playa Potrero is a vibrant little town where everything is at your fingertips. The neighborhood includes many excellent restaurants and bars. There is a nearby grocery store (supermercado) and a fruit stand. The local sailing center and craft beer brewery are within walking distance. Additionally, we have a small commercial center complete with a more upscale grocery store, dentist, and hairstyling salon. All of these destinations are within a short walking distance.

Playa Potrero/Potrero Beach features a beautiful gray sand beach, perfect for lounging, sunbathing, and swimming. There are additional beaches with waves, snorkeling, and surfing nearby. You will love discovering each one's unique beauty.

However, if you desire a little more adventure than just a day at the beach, there are many tourist attractions within a thirty-minute drive.

Nearby activities include canopy tours (zip lines), hiking, horseback riding, waterfalls, sports fishing, casino gaming, and tours of the beautiful Rincon de la Vieja and Palo Verde National Park - to name a few of the fantastic attractions nearby. (Honestly, there are too many to list here!)

Hi! I'm JoEllen.
As a family, we travel a LOT. We work online and can be anywhere in the world, so as a family we travel as much as possible. We love to visit nature areas, especially beaches and mountains. We are active and like to participate in lots of different sports and recreation. We sail, dive, snorkel, surf, boogie board, ski, ice skate, bicycle and walk. We have young children so we prefer relaxed places with a feel like home where we can have a kitchen and food whenever we like.

We prefer homes where we can prepare our own food and relax. Hotels are never that exciting for us and restaurants require too much time & effort...

We love to have access to a home environment as it often includes games, toys, spices for cooking, bikes, and more personal touches.

We love to be near nature and always appreciate toys to play with, such as bicycles, play park (swings), kayaks, fishing rods, badminton, etc. Maps of local excursions with recommendations are super helpful.

When traveling, we love to rent our home to fellow travelers. Recently, we purchased a home in Costa Rica, which is also a very popular rental, as it is luxurious and run in a "boutique hotel" style. We are proud to be part of this fun adventure now.

We have a summer house of our own on the Swedish coast and rent it occasionally. Thus, we try to leave the places we visit clean and very easy for the next person's stay. We understand how important and wonderful this is for the owner.

Please leave the house if the Francisco/Marling needs to do something during your stay and to check the house before check out.

We also have a local concierge to assist you with planning all your local adventures and excursions. We can provide you with as much help as you want - OR we can leave you to enjoy the nature in peace. Pura Vida!
