My place is good for students, business travellers, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).

Indawo
The small room contains one single bed. It is a small but comfortable and snug room, overlooking farming land to the East. The room has been newly decorated and is clean and friendly. The room is on the first floor.

Ukungena kwesivakashi
Guests will have access to their own bedroom, either a bathroom or a shower room (allocated on arrival - usually families are allocated the bathroom and hikers or cyclist the shower room). Common areas include the kitchen, lounge and playroom. Please note that the house is still in need of some renovation, and the lounge and kitchen, while functional, are still somewhat tatty!

Ezinye izinto okumele ziqashelwe
Please note that the house is still in need of repair and updating generally, so while the bedrooms, bathroom and shower room have been redecorated for the use of guests, a number of other rooms and stairwells remain quite tatty, though functional and friendly enough. This is an old farmhouse, not a new build!

Haller, Grevenmacher, i-Luxembourg

Haller is a very small mainly farming village. There are no shops or other facilities in the village. To visit the local supermarket/chemist/petrol station etc, you would need to drive down to Larochette, which is about 10 minutes by car. There are also hourly buses.
The village itself is fairly remote, but right on the edge of the Mullerthal walking trails and the most beautiful scenery. The village is quiet (apart from the church bells which start at 7 am and the various animal noises associated with farms).
The farm opposite is currently carrying out building work, so some noise from the construction site can be expected - apart from the usual tractors and cows.

Hi, my name is Lindsey and I have lived in Luxembourg most of my life, although I am British by birth. I live in an old farm house that is (slowly!) being renovated and in the heart of a typical Luxembourgish farming village within the beautiful area known as Little Switzerland, just off the Muellerthall Hiking Trail. I love being outside and exploring the woods and finding out more about local history while visiting castles and museums. Equally, on a cold evening, you are likely to find me lost in a book in front of the wood stove. Generally, I am fairly sociable and love to meet people from all different walks of life and compare our experiences. I am really looking forward to welcoming many of you in my - still somewhat tatty - but friendly home! And did I mention books? The house is packed full of them. So if you happen to land here one a rainy day, don't despair. We have books galore and also painting material, and a playroom for the little ones! Obviously, you are very welcome to just sit in front of the wood-burning stove in the lounge and watch Netflex or any UK Freeview programmes you fancy. A playstation with an assortment of games is also available. Basically, while you are staying with us, please do feel free to treat the home as you would your own. Pets I am quite happy to invite furry friends into the house, but do be aware that we have resident cats, so before bringing your four-legged visitors with you, please do check with me that they are cat frienldy and house-trained! Location Haller itself is situated on the edge of the Muellerthall Trail and is superb hiking and exploring countryside. Mounting biking too is perfect in this area. Haller itself is a small village, with under 300 inhabitants, so very quiet. While there is a renowned restaurant in the village and easy bus connections to Luxembourg town (35 mins), Echternach (25 mins) and Ettelbruck (25 mins), there are no shops in the village itself. The closest supermarket/chemist/etc is located in Larochette, 10 minutes away by bus or car. Arrival and departure If you would like to be collected and dropped of at the airport, I am quite happy to come to an arrangment with you for a small fee to cover my costs. Arrival and departure can be as flexible as bookings allow, since I am home most of the time. Breakfast Breakfast is served each morning at a time to suit you with fresh produce, including home-made jams and locally sourced produce. All in all, we want you to be able to explore the surrounding area while staying with a local, intergrated and friendly family environment ... us!

Phakathi nokuhlala kwakho
I live in the home and have my rooms on the second floor. This allows me to give my guests space in the commun lounge and kitchen, while literally being within calling distance. I am always keen on meeting new people and exchanging experiences, and very happy to use my local knowledge to help any guests plan their stay in Luxembourg and particularly the local area.
