The townhouse is over 300 years old but beautifully restored and furnished. It’s comfortable and very spacious with an excellent double bed, large bathroom and huge living space with a wood stove, well equipped kitchen and lovely sofas. It’s situated through the old gate of the once Benedictine community, close to the Abbey, the river, shops, patisseries and restaurants. Ideal for a romantic getaway for two.

Indawo
Beaulieu sur Dordogne is situated in the upper reaches of the Dordogne and the river is spectacular. Fishing and canoeing are popular pastimes but a leisurely walk or picnic by the river is also highly recommended.
As you open the front door you step onto the river stone lined street which leads you to admire local architecture and to explore the town and its historical significance.

There are several excellent restaurants in the town and two main Brasseries. On the second weekend of May the town hosts a strawberry Festival.
Further afield is the famous pilgrimage site of Rocamadour which is spectacular as are the caves at Gouffre de Padirac. The Plus Beaux Villages of Colonges la Rouge, Loubressac, Curemonte and Turenne are within easy striking distance.

My husband Neil and I live in Melbourne in Australia. For many years we have had a love affair with France. In particular the beautiful region of the Dordogne, Perigord Noire. We fell in love with a cottage in Berbiguiéres and decided to buy it. Soon after we purchased the lovely restored town house in Beaulieu. We rent them both for all to enjoy.
