Restored River House! Step back in time. This two-story, 1400 square ft river house, has new and modern upgrades, but retains all of its original charm, including its original pine (uneven) floors, shiplap walls, and "some" charming wavy-glass windows. Originally built in 1878, so every crack and quirk has a story to tell.

Enjoy the breathtaking river view, sunsets, and breezes from the kitchen, living room, full size indoor/outdoor porch, and the bedroom balcony off of the master bedroom. You can even see the water from the bed! Lounge on the porch outside, or our small yard, and watch the sailboats go by. See our famous Island Heights sunsets while eating dinner, you can view the river from many places in the house! 100 feet from the house is the historic camp meeting grounds, which is now a park with a pavilion, perfect for playing a game of frisbee or having a picnic.
KITCHEN: The retro-style kitchen includes all brand new stainless steel appliances: microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, Full refrigerator / Freezer, Keurig, Drip Coffee Pot, tea kettle, and a fully stocked kitchen for a family of 6. We have a small eat-in area with an antique church pew, table and chairs, as a breakfast nook.
LIVING ROOM:
We have a nice spacious living room with river views, Wifi, TV with Amazon Firestick / Prime Video and Netflix. Includes a pull-out Ikea couch / bed that can sleep 2. Pillows, blankets and sheets provided.
INDOOR / OUTDOOR PORCH:
Our porch with wicker couch and chairs overlooks the river and is the width of the house, close the windows on a chilly day, and open them for a warm breezy day! We also have a small bistro set for enjoying your breakfast while watching the boats go by.
MASTER BEDROOM: There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, the master bedroom with a panoramic water view, sliding glass door and balcony, includes a queen-size bed, 2 night stands, a small closet, and a TV with an Amazon Firestick, for watching Prime Video, Netflix and more! Enjoy a memory foam Tuft and Needle Mattress. Have your coffee on the balcony, and wake up to an incredible river view.
SECOND BEDROOM
The second bedroom sleeps 2, featuring a Queen bed, 2 night stands, and a small closet.
UPSTAIRS BATHROOM: The bathroom upstairs features a stand up shower, vanity and toilet, with black and white retro-tile.
DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM: The smaller bathroom downstairs off of the kitchen, features another stand up shower, vanity, and toilet, with black and white retro-tile.
OVERALL:
The house has WIFI, with Amazon Firesticks, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Forced Hot air, Central A/C, laundry room with washer and dryer, and on-demand hot water heater (so you will never run out of hot water!) We provide clean towels and sheets so you don't need to bring anything :)
WATER ACCESS:
We do have DIRECT water access to our bulkhead via our staircase down the bluff, completed with railings. Children are ONLY allowed down this staircase with adult supervision. This access will be available in the summer months, and is perfect for Kyaks, Paddle Boards, Fishing and Crabbing. There is no dock, so it's not suitable for a boat, but certainly for a raft.
DRIVEWAY / YARD
We have a stone driveway (driveways are hard to come by in Island Heights!) that can park 2 cars. We have 2 yard spaces, one on the driveway side of the house, and one on the river side of the house.
