▪️Alabama's only off-grid tiny house adventure!

The cabin comes fully stocked with everything you need to have an extremely comfortable camping experience. Our goal is to think of everything so you don't have to. Most people say that so many things were provided, they realized they had overpacked.
--Queen size Memory Foam beds, twin futon, and twin mattress on the floor
--Fully stocked kitchen with one-burner propane stove, gas grill, or Instant Pot
--Eggs from our chickens when they are laying
--Fire pit
--Bluetooth speaker
-- Towels, sheets, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, and some emergency toiletries in case you forget something
-- Follow us on IG @caserockcabin to see additional pictures and read about our building process.
--Dogs are welcome with NO pet fee. We provide some supplies such as a dog runner, old towels, a food and water dish, and bags to scoop poop (just bring your dog’s crate, leash, food, toys, and a bed).
--Not only are you enjoying the tiny house experience, you also have 105 acres of trails at your back door. You will enjoy solitude and the quietness of being half a mile from your nearest neighbor. In order to reach the tiny house, we will pick you up and drop you off in a Ranger. All other trips back and forth are up to you.
--Cabin overlooks the river. Access to the river itself is about 200 yards away and is an easy walk.
--It is advised you bring food and a cooler with you with ice. When you check in, you should not plan on dropping your things at the cabin and then going out to dinner. Logistically this is difficult due to the length and challenge of the hike out to your car. We strongly advise you eat dinner before you come or bring ingredients with you to cook.

Case Rock is OFF-GRID. The cabin features:

--a composting toilet
--solar panels and an on-site generator
--non-potable water from the water tanks
--drinking water from water dispenser
--propane instant hot water heater
--wood heater with firewood
--push button start generator
--kerosene heater
--DC attic fans
--THERE IS NO AC. A battery powered fan would be a good idea. We provide two but you can always use more.
--THERE IS NO REFRIGERATOR. You should bring a cooler with ice.

Cell phone reception— Cell phone reception can be spotty. We have radio communication at the cabin in case of dire emergency. There is no Wifi at the cabin. You may use the Wifi at the main house in a pinch.

Refrigeration—There is no refrigerator, but we can help carry your cooler with ice to the cabin for you, and we sell ice at the main house for $5 a bag.

Kitchen supplies—Breakfast supplies (oatmeal and the fixings), spices, vinegar, and oil are provided for your stay. We try to maintain a stocked kitchen for basic cooking. There is no oven.

Breakfast beverages include:
Dark roast coffee beans
Ground coffee and chicory
English breakfast tea
Splenda/sweet and low

--Float in an inner tube or kayak down river to the bridge, a 1-5 hour long trip depending on the current. We will help you transport your boat or inner tube to the cabin and pick you up at the bridge if we are available. This trip should only be attempted when the river is at safe levels. Sudden heavy rains can make the river unnavigable.

We ask that you sign waivers before you stay at Case Rock to make sure you are aware of the inherent, but unlikely, dangers you may encounter on the property.

- Please treat our house with respect as you would your own. If you break it, replace it. If you can’t fix it, let us know so we can. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you move it, put it back. If you don’t know how to use it, please ask.

--Please let us know if you are coming for a special event like a photo shoot and especially if you will not be staying all night.
- Bring clothes and toiletries, food and beverages, flashlight, cooler and ice for your food since there is no fridge, a battery operated fan in hot weather, hiking or rain boots (shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy as it can be quite messy depending on the weather), your favorite book, and be ready to relax.
- No smoking inside the cabin unless you are vaping. Outside, please use the ashtrays provided. Please do not flick butts on the ground.
- No fireworks, flares, incendiary devices or firearms allowed. This is not a shooting range.
- No hunting of any kind. Only fishing is allowed.
- No illegal drug use permitted.
- General check-in time is 3 p.m-8 p.m.. If a time other than that is required, please contact us to see if we can accommodate. Check out time is 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. If you need an earlier checkout time, please let us know and we will see if we can accommodate you. Early checkouts are only possible if someone is available to take you to the cabin. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
- We may transport you and your belongings to/from the cabin upon check in/out but the logistics of all other trips to//from the cabin are up to you.
- Dogs are welcome. We just ask that you bring its crate and bed, which we will transport to the cabin for you, so that when you leave the cabin, you can either crate it or tie it out on the runner provided. Please do not leave dogs unattended in the cabin. At the house, we have free-range chickens, so we insist that for the safety of our chickens, you keep your dog on a leash, even if you think he won’t bother them. While at the cabin, we also suggest keeping him on a leash at all times due to the dangers of the property. Clean up outdoor messes in the bags provided. Clean up indoor pet messes promptly so it doesn’t ruin the floors. If your dog gets wet in the river, use the dog towels provided, not the bath towels meant for humans.
- Please place trash in the cans provided or bring trash to the main house when full.
- For safety reasons, the cabin is not recommended for children under the age of 6.
- Please follow basic safety precautions when using the fire pit (such as putting out fires completely when you are done) and do not use it in times of drought. Burning trash or cardboard of paper products is strictly prohibited.
- When coming in from the river, please towel off yourself and your pet with outdoor towels provided rather than bath towels and before coming indoors.
- We recommend you and your pets stay on the trails to ensure your safety. There are several abandoned coal mines as well as some reclaimed (collapsed) mines on the property and possibly still some remaining air shafts.
- We have a moderate cancellation policy. Free refund up to 5 days prior to arrival.
- The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. - There is a security deposit so that if you damage the home, you could be charged up to $100.
- There is a $250 cleaning fee if you smoke in the house (other than vaping).
--There is a charge of $15 per person over the first two guests. You MUST tell us how many people are staying when you reserve.
- You must make prior arrangements for check-in and check-out times. You must be escorted to the property so you can be properly oriented and we must ensure someone is available to take you. Late checking in or out without making prior arrangements will cost $20 an hour.

Kimberly, Alabama, i-United States

You are located 30 minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama, a thriving city with a rich food and music scene. Its award-winning restaurants, killer music venues, museums, and shopping can keep you busy for days should you venture from Case Rock Compound. The main entrance to Case Rock Cabin is two miles off I-65, and two miles from the nearest grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy, and gas stations in the nearby town of Warrior. The real draw here is the Locust Fork River, which is an unregulated, scenic river good for fishing and floating downstream when the water levels are lower. The cabin sits high above the river, safely out of the flood zone, so it can be enjoyed even when the water levels are high. You can enjoy the sound and view of the river year round, as well as the surrounding 85 acres and all its natural features. Nearby you will find Rickwood Caverns State Park which conducts tours in its enormous underground caverns. Further north, you can rent kayaks and canoes and enjoy the whitewater sections of the Locust Fork River. Whether natural attractions or man-made, this area offers many reasons to visit.
