Indawo
Are u interested in tiny home/schoolies/van/camper living this is your spot. Close to interstate 81.
While perched on the mountainside at over 3,000 ft, enjoy your solitude and space with 360-degree views of the Hidden Valley cliffs behind you and the Clinch mountain ridge in front of you. On either side, you will find flowing creeks filled with wildflowers, critters, and trails/rocks to explore.

After waking up to fresh mountain air and bird calls, either head up to Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Area for climbing, kayaking, hiking, or mountain biking OR head 15 minutes into town to enjoy beautiful Abingdon. Our town has a bustling farmers market, the famous Creeper Trail (a 32 mile biking/walking trail to the top of Whitetop Mountain), local juice bar and restaurants, the Barter Theatre, Wolf Hills Brewery, and the Abingdon Winery.

Figgy has a full bed comfortable for two, a propane burner stove, breakfast nook, clean burning propane heater for those chilly nites upon request, a composting outdoor bathroom with epic views, solar/battery operated lights, fresh Appalachian mountain spring water in containers for drinking/rinsing off /cooking, and option for small fires/smores weather permitting and county fire updates The deck ( 2 camp chairs provided) is large enough to roll out mats, meditate, and enjoy your meals. -* update-*guests will have access to enclosed outdoor tankless heated shower close to my other guest space starting april 1.

Figgy encourages you to ease back into the rhythms of nature - which means she is off-grid however she has solar panel to provide DC electricity for small charging phones and has decent cell service (Verizon works great) Basic cookware is provided (french press for those coffee lovers), I encourage you to bring your cooler and ice . An additional 2 people can camp anywhere on property too I will provide the (tent sleeping pads and sheets for tent. )You must bring pillows/sleeping bags for tent site. Perfect for 2 couples or 4 friends to come on a true adventure. Similar listings with these epic views are averaging $100 and up per nite in the Asheville area

I love dogs and have Raisin, a four-year-old playful 'lil lab mix, who loves all people and dogs! Well behaved, potty trained dogs that play well with others are more than welcome. Please do not leave them alone in Figgy unless you crate them.

Ask about discounts for van life/schoolie parking on property too with good solar exposure and access to fresh spring water.

Ukungena kwesivakashi
Feel free the roam around and find flowers or fossils. Come down and check out the orchard or gardens. I'm not a absent airbnb host and love to share stories with like minded folks.

I have lived all over the country in tents, buses, tiny homes, but I have landed in the mountains of SWVA spending my days working with the land and nature. The orchard, the gardens, the trails, and of course endless projects keep me fulfilled. I always have a strong desire to share this sacred space with others. I spent years as a massage therapist and reclaimed materials builder, I now have stepped back from the hustle and bustle to share my hard work and gifts in other ways - often in the forest or garden in the mornings, working on projects during the day, and ending with a fire and cold beer. My connection to nature is my entry point to others who feel the same I have hosted hundreds of wonderful guests along with there furry friends in my previous tiny house and skoolie I built in Charston, SC and can't wait to meet so many more.
