1. BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOUSE AND EXTRA SERVICES

In short if you are not too much into reading we provide everything:
- great view (exactly as in the photos)
- 400 meters away from the waterfront
- free parking
- potable 4G WiFi with unlimited traffic
- linens, towels & all kitchen stuff
- breakfasts and dinners for extra charge at our family home nearby
- shared sauna, that is especially good in the winter season.

A bit less concise description follows;)

BASICS
The log house comes fully equipped with everything you need for the cooking in the kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, silver, salt, peper, oil, coffees, tees, etc), all linens, several towels for every guest, shower gels, toilet paper etc.

The parking is free in our private territory 30 meters away from the apartment and is included in the price, so you do not need to hold a place in the surrounding public parking lots and pay for that.

Waterfront is 400 meters away (5-7 minutes walk down the 2000 years old picturesque stone paved mule route). All year round grocery store is 5 minutes walk away.

As you can see from the photos, the house has a air-conditioning unit, the gives coolness in summer and keeps it as warm in winter as you like.

PETS are more then welcome, however we charge extra 20 EURs for antiallergic cleaning in this case.

DINING
However what we also do for our guests – we cook home breakfasts and dinners. The breakfast is continental style: freshly baked pancakes, oatmeal porridge, fried eggs, yogurts, breads, cereals, jams, freshly brewed steaming coffee in Italian Bialetti coffee maker. For the dinner we usually cook Italian Napoli style seafood pastas and salads, home made olive oil with breads and cheese and wines (as a matter of fact the dinner usually continues into fireplace chats till midnight with a glass of wine).

The approach in both cases is there is no limited portions, so be sure you gonna be full when you finish. Both are extras, we kindly ask 10 EUR per person for the breakfast and 25 EUR for dinner, including unlimited wine bar with great choice of great local wines. Just dinner with a glass of wine without the multiples glasses of wine is 15 EURs:)

SAUNA
Is located in our family house 1 minute walk away from the apartment and we welcome all our guests to use it. You need to tell us in advance (its wood heated sauna, so heating up takes around an hour). There is a pool you can also jump in all year around after the sauna. We kindly ask 25 EURs per guest for the sauna, that includes bathrobes, towels, wool hats to protect head from overheating, teas, aroma scents and use of the pool.

We also do the Russian sauna ritual. This is a unique relaxation technique developed in Russia with oak bunches and if you don’t feel fully united with the universe , totally relaxed and absolutely happy after it – then you pay nothing for it:) If you like it – its additionally to the sauna cost 25 EUR per person.

KIDS & BABYSITTING
If you travel with a child, we certainly provide baby cots and high chair for free. We can also help you out with baby-sitting if you want to run away for a romantic dinner on your own to a waterfront restaurant. Its 15 EUR/hour.

HOUSEKEEPING
And in case you need extra cleaning of the apartment during your stay we do that as well on request. The usual fee for these kind of help is 15EUR per hour, extra change of linen during your stay (if its needed) is 10 EURs.

TRAVEL TIPS & OTHER
We are eager to help you plan and organize your vacation as a compliment from us with our deep knowledge of the area. So lets us know what activities do you want to do around during your stay and we suggest how to organize that in the most optimal manner.

Check out the “Location section” on this page below. There we have summarized tips about activities you can to do around all year long that certainly may keep you busy at least for 2 weeks around.

The last. but not the least, in terms of safety the space is totally disinfected between the guests arrivals with chlorine containing cleaning products, so its COVID safe and all our family members are vaccinated (we do cleaning ourselves).

2. WHY IN MY VIEW WE ARE LOCATED IN ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS IN GARDA LAKE?

Garda Lake is huge, so where is the best area for vacation? After 10 years of visiting Garda as a tourist I knew exactly where I wanted our family house to be located as we decided with my family to reallocate here and start doing bed&breakfast instead of corporate jobs.

Here are some points for your consideration:

a) Northern vs Southern part

Alpes mountains start in the middle between south and north of the lake where it gets narrow. So if you like mountains like me and want them to be right at hand for instance to do trekking then it is the Northern half of the lake. Here you can find any individual and family sport activity you can think of: trekking, paragliding, mountain bike, alpinism, windsurf, kitesurf, yachting, white water & canyoning etc. Too long list, just tell us what you would like to do and we tell you where to find that.

The Southern part of the lake is plain, however you still have great view of the mountain on the horizon. South is more beach tourist type, much less sport activities there. However all kids focused activities (namely Gardaland amusement park with Legoland waterpark, Movieland and Caneva World waterpark, Parco Natura Viva zoopark&safari etc) are close south and located near the towns of Bardolino and Lazise. It is not a long ride from North (around 40-50 minutes), however if you plan Disney World type of vacation with kids (I mean 7 days of amusement parks) – then certainly Lazise and Bardolino are the spots you need to stay around. Peschiera, Sirmione and Desenzano areas are mostly beach vacation focused destinations.

b) East vs West shore

In the south part of the lake there is no big difference. In the north part west shore is much more rocky with just few towns like Limone on the waterfront. Which means less beaches and tourist attractions around. And the view from the west beach is not as spectacular as from the East beach (like you can see in our photos).

c) Town vs village

In large and most popular touristic towns in the North like Malcesine and Riva del Garda to me it is too overcrowded in summer, however that are the centers for sightseeing and sports. In small villages like ours you have the same or even more authentic medieval scenery (like hundreds years old paved mule track in mountains behind the house you are welcome to explore), nice truly home run restaurants and bars, smaller local watersport centers and you can always easily reach the major spots for sightseeing or sports with a short car ride. So basically the smaller village, the less overcrowded it is. Which also means more space on the beach in summer.

d) Waterfront or mountains?

It looks like for an unexperienced Garda tourist that the closer the apartment to the waterfront, the better. However there is traffic noise from Via Gardesana. This is the highway which goes along the lakeshore, and which is busy 24/7. So if you think of tranquility - always look for something several hundred meters away from it.

This is a type of experienced Garda traveler in depth insider advice you can get from us regarding every aspect of your journey during your stay with us.

How to avoid traffic jams when driving to Garda Lake in summer?
How to avoid queues to MonteBaldo cable car?
How to organize a private plane flight over Garda Lake?
Where to go trekking?
What is the best wine yard of Valpoliccela to visit?

We know all this and many more. Just don’t hesitate to ask what you need!

3. THE DESIGN OF THIS GLAMPING HOUSE

I built this house myself, its not a prefabricated solution. I had this idea for a couple of years in my head and now its live. I had some experience traveling in camper wagons and some experience in sea yachts.

On one hand I loved this cosy tiny perfectly fit together rooms and bathrooms in the limited space the camper wagon or yacht allowed, but at the same time they were always to much “compressed” for me.

I wanted this house to be really spacious, while it is really small – just 9 sq.m all together and you can actually put it on a trailer and travel with it around:)

This is the first one I built and it is kind of protype (however fully functional). The price is symbolic and what I really want is your feedback regarding the convenience of the space.

I invite you to stay with me and share your experience about how it is and would be very grateful for that to improve the design and functionality of the space in the next to be developed versions of the house.ks

Brenzone sul Garda, Veneto, i-Italy

The location is unique, because its non touristic village right in the heart of the Brenzone trekking park on one hand and has all infrastructure in the close proximity: watersports center and tennis paly grounds are 5-10 minutes walk away as well as all year round grocey store. Its just 5 km away from Malcesine – Venetiona capital of the lake, that is one of the key sightseeing spots.

Brenzone is an agglomerate, which unites around 20 small villages both on the shore of the lake and in the nearby mountains. Each if them has couple of cosy family run restaurants, bars and a grocery store. We are in Sommavilla/Pozzo, which is one of the smallest and uncrowded villages of Brenzone, which is just 400 meters away from the waterfornt up the hill.

Here it's is by far not that overcrowded as in Malcesine or other top touristic destination on the lake. You can always easily find a free spot on the beach in summer. Malcesine is easily reachable by car. Its 5 minutes drive by car or 1 hour walk by foot along the waterfront.

Restaurant, bars and grocery stores are located on the waterfront and easily reachable by foot within 5 -15 minutes walk (or by car in 30 seconds drive). However, be aware that on your way back from the waterfront to the house you will need to go up the hill.

The beautiful thing about small villages of Brenzone they are very authentic, with many locals living here and great family owned restaurants. I really do not know a single bad one in the surroundings. It always great food & great service - as the place is not out crowded - there is always a lot of personal touch to the guests. Waiters remember everybody who visits them, like a lot when you come back and do nice compliments. Nice relaxed welcoming homey tranquil atmosphere.

WHAT TO DO AROUND?

TREKKING.
We are right in the heart of Brenzone Nordic Walking park. Trekking routes start from the house door and there are plenty of them. Most routes go along 2000 years old paved mule routes in the mountains and feels like trekking following the medieval secret paths with panoramic view over the lake all around. Many rustic mountain houses and medieval churches along the way. Semi-abandoned village of Campo with great restaurant in it. For more detailed information on trekking please visit the website “brenzonetrekking.eu”.

SPORTS
10 minutes’ walk from the apartment there is our local watersports center Acquafresca - where you can learn kite surfing, windsurfing, yachting or rent equipment for any of the above. There is also great club cafe in there. Basically you can spend the whole day in the watersports club: ride in the morning, dine there and ride in the afternoon. Tennis play grounds are 5 minutes walk away.

Tennis play ground provide all equipment rental and are 5 minutes walk away.

MALCESINE: CABLE CAR TO 2000 METERS, CASTLE, PARAGLIDING.
There is easier way to get to 2000 meters high mountains behind the house. MonteBaldo Cable Car in Malcesine, 5 minutes’ drive away and it will get you up the mountain in 15 minutes. In summer it might be overcrowded - so it better to start from the middle station. You can also do a paragliding jump from Monte Baldo. It’s safe and thrilling!

Don't miss Lino Susy’s Pasticceria on your way back from the mountain and the Malcesine Castle in Malcesine and overall authentic medieval scenery of the town (it is closed for cars and all the town is one large pedestrian area)

Another thing in Malcesine – you can join a group trip on a old 19th century yacht at the port of Malcesine on Wednesdays afternoons. Or rent a motor boat for couple of hours and go swimming in the lake from the boat along with a bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruits. It certainly worth it.

And of course as in any great touristic town there is good shopping and restaurants there.

NORTH OF THE LAKE
Many great spots for nature sightseeing are in the north of the lake, around Riva Del Garda. Also center for alpinism, mountain biking and other active sports. Ask us and we suggest you specific spots for sight seeing.

PRIVATE PLANE TRIP AROUND THE LAKE. It lasts one hour and you can stir the plane even for a while yourself. Maximum 3 passenger per planec, the cost is 250 per 1 person and 600 for 3 persons.

FUN FOR KIDS FROM 0 TO 60 YEARS OLD
Visit Parco Natura Viva (zoopark with Safari), GardaLand and Movieland – the largest amusement parks in Italy and third largest in Europe. Lego land and Caneva World – great water parks.

FOR WINE LOVERS. Visit Valpolicella wine yards, they worth it. Our favourite is Fabio Bonazzi.

THERMAL PARKS. Our favorites are Parco Termale del Garda and Acquardens.

Everything stated above is just 40 – 60 minutes drive from the apartments depending on traffic. Not enough? Tell us what you would like to do and we help you to plan or organize that during your stay with us!

We are a big Russian-Ucrainian family who got in love with Garda from the first sight 15 years ago! Our dream to start own family guesthouse here came true back in 2018 when we reallocated here from Moscow and started our GardaDom B&B. Bought a 16th century house from 93 year old Signor Veronese (you can see his heritage museum in our garden),renovated it... and on THE STORY goes... Garda is THE PLACE that we are totally in love with! And WE LOVE sharing it with our guests as well as many other stories and legends of the family and the area. Nowadays our rental apartments and houses are located all around our former B&B GardaDom that is nowadays our family house, where we invite all our guests in the evenings to our fireplace to share wines, cheeses, stories and talks! You can think of this as a live social network – you meet us and other guests at our place and this moment we all become neighbours:) Welcome to our friends & family homes at Garda Lake!
