The Deerwester cottage is one of a trio of cottages at Terrace Beach Retreat on the northeast shore of Green Lake, WI. Located about 80 feet from the shore, the Deerwester has a 4 total/3 adult maximum capacity and features one double bed, a futon that pulls out into a double bed, a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower stall and a large screened porch facing the lake with patio furniture. WiFi, a smart TV for streaming, and charcoal grill, bath towels, dishes & cooking utensils are included.

Guests are invited to swim, fish off the pier, play ping pong & corn hole, build castles in the sand, and enjoy the lakeshore fire pit. Kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and a rowboat are available to rent. We also rent a 3,600 lb and a 5,000 lb max capacity boat lift... please inquire about availability. Our beach has small stones for the first 20 ft or so, and then it is a nice sandy bottom. The pier ladders bypass the stones. The lake very gradually gets deeper along this part of the lake and there are no sudden drop-offs, which is perfect for swimming. The water is about 5 feet deep at the end of our pier.

Beautiful Green Lake is the deepest lake in Wisconsin at 237 feet at its deepest. It is 7 miles long and 2 miles wide. Large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, trout and panfish are abundant. The scenic Green Lake area has three golf courses, numerous hiking and biking trails, fishing guides and several boat rental facilities. We are located about 2 miles from the city of Green Lake, where one can find restaurants, shops, a weekly local farmers market and various festivals and music events throughout the year.

Welcome to Terrace Beach Retreat on the northeast shore of beautiful Green Lake, WI! My grandparents bought this property in 1967 and operated 'Miller's Lakeshore Resort' for 30 years. I grew up 8 miles from here, so I spent a lot of time here in the summer, swimming and getting to know some of their wonderful guests. From the time I was 14 years old until my grandparents retired, I cleaned cottages every Saturday morning. My husband, Doug, and I bought the property and moved our family into the house in 2017, twenty years after having our wedding reception here! We remodeled the interiors of the three cottages down by the lake and started renting them to guests in late summer of 2018. Someday we will have the units at the top of the hill ready for renters, but for now we are happy to share our three vintage cottages with those looking for a true lakeshore cottage experience.
