Just four blocks from Cramtom Bowl, we're approximately a mile and a half from the entertainment district, "The Alley," National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Civil Rights Memorial, and many other historical sites. We're close to the Biscuits stadium and Maxwell and Gunter Air Force Bases. On the main artery to downtown, we're very accessible by interstate. Madison Avenue is a main neighborhood street leading into downtown Montgomery and can be noisy at times, but we live around the corner and have had no problems with the street noise.

Hi! My husband, Bill, and I love traveling (especially to National Parks), spending time with our family, and hosting guests! Bill is from Buffalo, New York and graduated from Syracuse with a degree in forestry (hence our infatuation with National Parks). He moved to my hometown of Cullman, Alabama to work for the Department of Labor 35+ years ago. Ironically, on the night we met, Bill was actually driving in circles around my small town trying to find the place he was to meet a blind date. Unable to find the meet-up point, Bill spotted me standing outside of my church. I saw him drive by the church three times before he stopped and walked in. We wound up going out to eat at the only restaurant in town at the time (Pizza Hut, believe it or not) and quickly fell in love. Bill and I eventually moved to Montgomery, had three children (and now four grandchildren), where I started a daycare and he eventually retired from the state and started a construction company. Though we were both born and raised elsewhere, Montgomery has become our home. Through our construction company here, we have had the opportunity to work for people who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, who went to church with Rosa Parks, and even for Governor George Wallace himself (this was in his old age; after he apologized for his role in the Civil Rights Movement). Once being the capital of the Confederacy and now known as the city that kick-started the Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery was voted in 2014 as the Best Historic City in the U.S. by USA Today. As complex as its history is, we are thankful to be able to offer a place for guests to stay as they explore Montgomery's past and present!
