The direct view of the gorgeous live oak canopy on Magnolia Avenue and incredible architecture make this historic home a memorable place to stay. This romantic master suite is perfect for couples with a private entrance, queen poster bed, spacious bathroom with two shower heads and body jets, private balcony, individual climate control and parking spot. The home is located within the historic district, close to trolley stops and within easy walking distance to downtown. 6 minutes to the beach.

The master suite is the perfect place to relax with its’ luxurious en-suite bathroom and upstairs balcony. The suite has an incredible view down the tunnel of live oaks on Magnolia Avenue. The beautiful Queen canopy bed, 40” tv and a private entrance and separate hvac system with thermostat make for a comfortable stay.

I have a local guide I wrote available at the rental as well as local magazines.

There are four different seating areas throughout the gardens to enjoy. There is a large collection of antique roses blooming and I am working to restore the gardens. The roses have wonderful fragrance since they are the heirloom varieites.

No Pets (service animals included). I have allergies and can not handle cleaning up after animals, sadly pet dander will make me sick.

This is Florida and there are bugs. I grow host plants for butterflies so I am careful when treating the bad bugs. I maintain best practices for their control but a certain times of year mosquitos and palmetto bugs are active. Wearing repellant should keep you safe throughout the historic district.

The home is an old and historic property so there are certain quirks and imperfections that are part of the charm on an old house.

I aim to be a good stewart to this home so your help with treating it kindly and respectfully is very appreciated. No parties or loud music.

The home is located next door to the Fountain of Youth. Located in a quieter part of the Historic district and an easy 12 minute walk from the Castillo and the start of St George street. Also located a six minute drive to the nearest beach.

I have spent the last six years in a labor of love, restoring a significant historic 1887 home in St Augustine, Florida. I love sharing the history of my home and I sincerely appreciate my guests. The income I get from Airbnb is helping me finish the restoration of the gardens. Once I finish this huge project I plan to start painting again.

My first home is an Airbnb and now I have a second Airbnb suite ready in my current home. I have met so many nice people through hosting and it has affirmed my belief in the goodness of people.
