Eastnor is a beautiful 17th century property which sleeps 4+2 guests, in three well presented bedrooms, with a family bathroom. This end of terrace Cotswold stone cottage has been lovingly refurbished in a contemporary style, retaining a wealth of character features including exposed Cotswold stone walls, original beams, flagstone flooring and two roaring wood burning stoves, as well as exposed wooden flooring on the first floor and in the eaves. At the rear of the property is a courtyard garden which leads up to the spacious roof terrace, and there is ample free on-street parking close to the property.

Conveniently located in the bustling market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, Eastnor is just a stone’s throw from the well-regarded pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes the town has to offer. Straddling the ancient Fosse Way, the town (affectionately known as 'Moreton' by locals) was once an important staging post, and this is reflected in the impressive architecture that still remains. There are a number of handsome coaching inns dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries and in the centre of the town stands the Redesdale Market Hall, a prominent feature on the high street. Every Tuesday the town plays host to the largest street market in the Cotswolds, with 200 stalls selling everything from delicious local produce to leather goods and clothing. The town also has a cricket ground with regular fixtures, and adjacent to this are the Queen Victoria Gardens, a well-maintained park complete with children’s playground.

Located in the Evenlode Valley, Moreton is surrounded by the fantastic countryside of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to explore. The Monarch’s Way long distance walking trail passes through the town on towards Batsford Arboretum and the picturesque village of Blockley, home to two popular pubs and a community owned village shop and café. Moreton benefits from having a train station with direct links to London, Oxford and Birmingham, and there are good bus links to the much-loved locations of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway. Further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace and Cheltenham can also be easily accessed for day trips.

Living room: This impressive room has exposed stone walls, flagstone flooring and a wonderful beamed ceiling. A warm and inviting space, it contains a stone fireplace with wood burning stove, a three-seater leather sofa and armchair, Smart speaker, bespoke oak window seat with shoe storage and a selection of books;
Snug: The living room leads through into the snug, a cosy space with an exposed stone feature wall. This room contains a stone fireplace with wood burning stove, three-seater sofa, upholstered footstool, pouffe, Smart TV with Apple TV and Netflix subscription and a selection of board games;
Dining room/kitchen: Two steps lead up from the snug into the spacious farmhouse style dining area/kitchen. With lovely leaded windows overlooking the courtyard, this stunning room contains a wooden dining table with seating for six, an Aga (see House Rules), four-ring gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge/freezer, washing machine, DAB radio and bespoke oak bench complete with storage cupboards;
Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin.

Wooden stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms:

Bedroom 2: This elegant bedroom with wooden flooring, exposed Cotswold stone walls and painted beams contains a king size bed or two 75cm wide single beds, a built-in cupboard and hanging rail for storage, a full length mirror and smart velvet bench;
Bedroom 3: Providing access to the roof terrace, this tastefully decorated bedroom with wooden flooring contains bunk beds and hooks for hanging clothes;
Family bathroom: With painted wooden flooring and a beautifully ornate stained glass window, this smart bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Concealed behind a wooden door on the first floor landing, a second flight of stairs leads up directly into the master bedroom in the eaves:

Master bedroom: This charming room has traditional wood flooring and painted original beams. This stylish bedroom contains a king size bed, hanging rail and blanket box for storage, as well as a bedroom chair and full length mirror.

Directly outside the kitchen there is a small enclosed courtyard with artificial grass and a large gas barbecue. From here, a metal spiral staircase leads up to the roof terrace (also accessible from bedroom 3) with views across the rooftops to the Queen Victoria Gardens. This attractive enclosed terrace has a Rattan furniture suite with ample seating and is a wonderful spot to enjoy warm summer evenings.

There is plenty of free on-street parking just a short walk away from the property.

Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal market towns in the North Cotswolds, situated on the Fosse Way and served by the main line railway from London Paddington. The town was granted its market charter in 1227 and there still is a busy Tuesday market, with about 200 stalls attracting many visitors.

Moreton has been a traveller's town for at least 1700 years and was used as a coaching station before the coming of the Oxford to Worcester railway in 1853. The oldest building is likely to be the 16th century Curfew tower on the High Street, whose bell was rung nightly until 1860 to remind people of the risk of fire. The High Street has many elegant 17th and 18th century inns and houses, including the Redesdale Market Hall in the centre of the town.

To complement the menus there is an extensive cellar of specially selected new and old world wines. You can dine in the Courtyard Restaurant, al fresco in the courtyard or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Snug Bar with its stone-flagged floor and large Inglenook fireplace;

To complement the cheese, the store also sells a wide range of cheese accompaniments and other deli essentials including local breads, biscuits & crackers for cheese, chutneys & local potted meats and pate's.
