All areas. Perfect for a small family or adult get away. Fully furnished.
Bedroom 1 is on the first floor and has 2 twin beds. The second bedroom cove area has 1 twin and four foot ceiling-a perfect kid's room. The third sleeping area is in the "tower". Climb up 6 steps, has 2 twin beds, it's own window AC unit and awesome views. There is a door that can separate the second two sleeping areas from the first level. Half bath shared by all rooms. Outdoor hot & cold salt-water shower. All water coming from bathroom and kitchen faucets are salt water. Plenty of drinking water is supplied. Soap stone bar top kitchen island, Dining area, living room area, outdoor deck area with dining table&chairs, comfy lounge chair & rocker, deck couch perfect for napping. Living room has Dish satellite TV, DVD player/ movies, board games, books. Excellent cell tower service but no wifi.
Hammock for relaxing on the lower level deck area and mud room perfect for grilling accessories, fishing gear, coolers, water& swimming accessories. Dog friendly.

You will see white egrets, pelicans, osprey, sea gulls and many other birds taking a perch on your docks and walking through the marshes and shallow waters surrounding the island.
Jumping fish and possibly dolphins playing.
Sunsets and breath-taking skies that change moment to moment, so make sure to bring your camera, binoculars or artist supplies.

20 year resident of Manteo, a past B&B Innkeeper for over 8 years, love meeting new folks and attention to details. Been managing the Croatan Cottage since hosting our very first guests in 2012. They still return and stay multiple times a year with their children, who I have watched grow up.
All of our guests through the last 10 years have made this house feel like an old friend. A comfortable conversation, a wave and a welcoming smile.
The Croatan is a home built with the intention of lasting. To endure. A home built with good bones. A home
perfect for family memories to be made in and treasured.
This 1920’s Sears kit is a gem.

As of the 2020 season, I have added a unique, family-owned “private Island” get-a-away to manage also, located in the Croatan Sound waters surrounding Nags Head/Manteo. Wow. What a spot to get away from it all.
