A boutique and architecturally designed, self contained guest suite specifically developed for the comfort of 2 adults. Fitted out with sustainably sourced Australian Timbers including Birch, Tasmanian Silky Oak, Redgum and Ironbark, this suite is designed to help you enjoy the wonderful surrounds of Lemon Tree Passage and Port Stephens. 300 metres from wonderful parks, the waterfront, local restaurants and the Lemon Tree Passage Boardwalk. Surrounded by beautiful birdlife and native animals.

Our guest suite which we fondly refer to as, 'Yellow Door' is nestled beneath our house and has been designed and built with the upmost care to ensure our that you have a comfortable oasis to use as a base as you explore the wonderful Lemon Tree Passage and Port Stephens.

The suite has reverse cycle air conditioning and a kitchenette to service your basic needs, and a washing machine / dryer combo. None of the facilities are shared - you have the private enjoyment of the entire apartment.

The apartment is fitted with dual curtains being 100% block out and 80% transmission. This will allow you to control your privacy and lighting at all times, and ensure that you can get a good sleep if you prefer to sleep in the dark.

There will be off street parking available, however it is best to discuss with us the parking after you have made your booking. We can make arrangements to suit your needs, but you may accidentally park us in!

Access to the apartment is via a code which we will send you once you have made your booking. The entering of the code is simple, but is a 2 step process that has confused some people in the past. Please read our access instructions carefully once they are sent post booking.

We have a Bose Sound Cube in the apartment which you can access using Bluetooth on your chosen device. This will let you play your music with this beautiful quality speaker.

As local residents for over 10 years, we are very well versed in the local area and can make recommendations to suit most appetites. If water pursuits are your thing, please let us know in advance and we will be able to advise best opportunities based on local weather patterns. We have a single seat sea kayak available for hire for $50 / day for adventurous folk, a double for $85 and can prepare custom charters (flagfall of $350, priced per hour thereafter with additional costs depending on the level of adventure required - all disclosed prior to departure ) on our 6 metre fibreglass vessel with enough notice (weather conditions pending).

Lemon Tree Passage has wonderful parks and walking opportunities, and one of the highest koala concentrations on the East Coast of Australia. The Lemon Tree Passage Board Walk is a very easy coastal walk, and adventurous walkers can add additional kms to this to do a 5km return walk along the shores of Lemon Tree Passage and the Tilligery Creek. More adventurous walkers can walk to Tanilba Bay from Lemon Tree Passage (also accessible with a short drive). There is also a more rugged path through an old quarry for the super adventurous or those that enjoy mountain biking.

The local French Restaurant - 'The Poyers' is highly recommended and people travel from all over NSW to attend. Booking are essential at this restaurant which is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

The local Cafe - Heather's is the local place for coffee and has an excellent patronage of locals that, 'know its the place to go.' Currently offering a take away only service this small business has well adapted to recent changes and stands proud in our small community. Heather's also prepares picnic baskets if ordered in advance.

The Tilligery Emporium is a small gift shop in the town centre of Lemon Tree Passage with a high quality selection of gifts for your perusal. Opening hours of the emporium vary so we suggest referring to their website for more details.

The Tilligery Art Gallery hosts a wide range of art from local artists and is always reasonably priced. Set into a retired bush fire station, the art gallery is a unique experience.

Offering the best boat ramp in Port Stephens, the fishing in the port or out in the deep blue sea is without parallel. Whether you are a boat fisherman or a shore fisherman, talk to us about your fishing desires. With over 10 years local fishing knowledge we can advise what, where and how depending on the season and weather.

The Salt Ash Barramundi Farm is approx 20 mins drive and offers beautiful meals of fresh Barramundi and farm tours which are great for the kids. The Barramundi farm backs directly onto Murrays Brewery and Wonganella Estate Winery.

This area also has a number of 'secret' picnic spots - better known as local knowledge only spots which we can advise depending on weather and your desires. Please let us know how we can help once you have made your booking.

Lemon Tree Passage is perfectly located and considered by locals as half way around the bay. You can have a wonderful couple of days exploring all of the little towns around the bay from Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest to Fingal Bay. See our guidebook for some details of what you can do in these towns.

Adventurous folk travelling South on the Pacific Highway could opt to paddle across the bay to Yellow Door. Suggested starting out at North Arm Cove for a 1.5 hour paddle, or Tea Gardens for a 5 hour paddle. Note that both of these times are achievable at a casual pace in fine conditions. Passage through the narrows at Soldiers Point (if you come from Tea Gardens) can be particularly challenging even for strong paddlers and is not recommended in any rough conditions.
