Enjoy your own floor of this stately home built in 1900. Your studio-style main room is spacious and cheery, the bathroom isn't cramped or shared, and your private landing on that floor is stocked with books, games & puzzles. It also has a light-duty kitchenette with sink, minifridge with freezer (bring on the ice cream!), microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, rice cooker, blender, and eco-friendly disposable bowls, plates, cups & individually wrapped utensils. There's bottled water, quick breakfast options, and plenty of snacks. It's not a full-on kitchen, but you can prepare anything that's steamable, baked/toasted/broiled, microwavable, or in the "just-add-water" category. There's also a cutting board and knife for fresh fruits, breads & cheeses.

The studio-style main space has a small dining area, a coffee station, and a good-sized desk with a TV that can double as a second monitor if needed (cables included). The full-size bed has a comfy memory foam mattress to ensure a good night's sleep. There's also a medical-grade air purifyer in the space, as well as an additional space heater and fans to boost your comfort in any direction beyond the radiator heat or air conditioning unit in the space.

Overall, staying in this space is like having your own airy artist's garret in a historic, renovating neighborhood near parks, the Genesee River gorge, Maplewood Rose Garden, two sets of waterfalls, and the Zoo. A perfect central location that's 10 minutes in either direction to Lake Ontario or to the center of downtown.

In addition to the kitchenette & snacks on your floor, there are some great local eateries who deliver via UberEats, Postmates, etc, including Jamacian & Caribbean, as well as a lot of other great options both local and chain. Delivery drop off is at your dedicated door to the house. Super convenient.

Rochester and the surrounding area--from Lake Ontario to the Finger Lakes region--has numerous sights and activities to enjoy, and all of them are easy to get to from this airbnb space. Even Niagra Falls is just a 90-minute day trip.

The house itself is in a historic neighborhood with large homes from the late 1800s to early 1900s. It includes a mix of renovated homes, renovated tenant-occupied properties, and a smaller number of properties in process or need of renovation. This house sits on a tree-lined street nearest the park side of the neighborhood.

The location is 2.3 miles from Rochester General Hospital, near the Kodak facilities, and close to all downtown businesses. 15 minutes from the airport. 13 minutes from the University of Rochester. 15-17 minutes from Rochester Institute of Technology and Strong Memorial Hospital.

I'm originally from the midwest, but recently made a move from 30 years in the south to living in the snow belt. As a host, I'm delighted to offer travelers some "southern hospitality." :-) I enjoy good friends, good food and cozy comfort ( I live in my pajamas and slippers as often as possible).
