Rose Kanda is a homestay service in a remote village named Kanda. The town is in the Kumaoni hill range, Uttarakhand. Kanda is a spot for experiencing nature at its best in Bageshwar. City is just 25 KM away from Bageshwar & you can easily recognize the way with the help of a landmark Bhadrakali temple. This immense beautiful rich hill station has correctly built homes and fields. You can come here to work on your body and focus as this village has no fancy distractions to take you off yourself

Indawo
Kanda is a historical gold mine, but many have not been shed light on its unknown nature. You can witness many ancient temples in Kanda, along with their historical significance in our culture. Some of the best surrounding areas in Kanda are:

1. Bagnath- Bagnath is a magnificent temple that is dedicated to lord shiva. Bagnath means 'Tiger Lord' in Sanskrit.

2. Bamani- This temple is situated below the Mahanta House. The name of the temple is a corrupt form of the Sanskrit word Bahmani. Rumours say that a Brahmin widow built the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

3. The Kanda settlement- The Kanda settlement holds many great stories and things to buy. You can taste the Kanda cuisine here. Kanda is a dispersed cluster of 30 different
villages. Over 20,000 people live in this settlement. The fields of Kanda are also something to sit back and admire.

Kanda has many smaller scale temples, each with a specific type of uniqueness. You will not run out of places to visit here as the business is small but rich in cultural dedication. Historians come to this place sometimes to gather archaeological data required for their research.

Bageshwer, Uttarakhand, i-India

Kanda is an artistically prosperous village where people rely on creativity to get by. You can see bright painted trucks decorating its roads that stretch long and very detailed art of Mehndi. Creative knowledge is taught to all young people in this village to keep their artistic talents flying. Houses are wooden with fine details carved on smooth wood doors and windows. The decorations comprise of storytelling consisting of daily life activities. Many people engrave gods and goddesses on their wooden doors to make them a part of their lives.
The women in Kanda wear Saris, very well-known, and worn clothing throughout the country. Other than that, women also prefer to wear salwar kameez. Gold and silver jewels decorate their faces and hands with well-crafted bangles and earrings. Men here wear dhoti and kurta on all occasions as they are comfortable enough for their tastes and work.
Almost eighty percent of people living in this village are Hindu in their religion. The word Hindu comes from the Persian name Hind, which means India. Hinduism means the faith of the people of India. The god and goddesses in Hindu culture are immense, and each of them has its type of rituals. But all gods and goddesses link to spirituality and nature as a whole. As humans, we come from nature at birth and become one with nature at the end.
Rose volunteers learn thoroughly about the rituals and way of life. Volunteers can then teach their learnings to other people willingly. One such benefit is our Homestay, which is clean and calm. We focus on keeping away from technology because spirituality is what we want to find. You can learn our teachings in our home as we manage your travel to temples.
