Merricks Surf Cottage is a hop skip and jump to the sand shores of Merricks Beach. This cute as a button, spick and span, 3-bedroom beach cottage is surrounded by established trees, lots of greenery and accommodates up to 8 guests.
What you see is what you get, and Merricks Surf Cottage is the original beach cottage and remains deliberately so. With an awesome location, enjoy absolute beachfront access through the foreshore reserve right out front.

Merricks Surf Cottage has all that you will need to make your next stay in Merricks totally relaxing, and tranquil, without all the fuss. Outdoors, there’s plenty of room for the kids to run around, kick the footy, or just hang out. This area is seriously peaceful and welcoming.
Inside Merricks Surf Cottage, open the full width rear timber doors and let the outside sunshine in. The main hub of Merricks Surf Cottage, is the functional open plan kitchen/eating/lounge zone. Cane furniture and old world charm makes Merricks Surf Cottage, cosy in winter and breezy in summer. A wood fire pot belly stove is on hand for chilly nights, whilst the split system and overhead fan will keep guests cool in summer. Enjoy the great range of books, and board games to keep everyone entertained. Really you won’t want for anything else.
The kitchen is basic, but comes with all the necessities for easy meal time preparation, including upright stove/oven, microwave, small appliances, large fridge, Aldi coffee machine and all the cooking gear for your stay. The pantry even has some basic cooking ingredients such as seasonings and oil.
The 3 bedrooms are as follows: queen bed in number 1, another bedroom with 2 sets of single bunks for 4 more guests and bedroom 3 with single bunk set for another 2 guests. All bed linen is supplied as well as a bath towel for each guest.
Bathroom has shower and vanity plus there’s a separate toilet. The laundry houses a washing machine and clothes dryer. Everyone loves the convenient outdoor shower with hot and cold water, perfect for de-sanding the kids.
Pets are allowed by arrangement and guests must disclose and seek advice on this before a booking can be confirmed. Note the property is not fenced, so may not suit all pets.

Under 25s must inquire first before booking. STRICTLY NO SCHOOLIES BOOKINGS.

At Good House Holiday Rentals, we take responsibility for and prioritise guest health and safety and that of the wider community. Guests, and their family and friends, can rest assured, that we will continue to strive to ensure the best holiday property management processes. This includes:
· Strict cleaning and sanitising protocols in place
· Linen has been professional laundered at a commercial laundry
All properties supply the following for guest use: antibacterial hand sanitiser, disposable gloves and wipes, disinfectant and cleaning supplies, hand soap, paper towels, tissues.

Please note the property is a registered Short Stay Accommodation property and all guests are required to abide by with Mornington Peninsula Shire Short Stay Accommodation Code of Conduct. Details of the Code will be made available to guests prior to arrival.

Good House Holiday Rentals is also able to offer Peninsula Hot Springs Bath House Tickets. Indulge yourself in the warm and tranquil water of Peninsula Hot Springs. Just ask us when booking.

We will require guests 2 days prior to arrival to confirm their identity by sending us a copy of current photo id eg drivers licence or passport. We will be in touch with you to complete this.

Merricks Beach is a quiet beach location and is less developed than the bay side beach areas of the Mornington Peninsula. The beach is safe and quite shallow. Merricks General Store is stocked with excellent local produce, such as fruit, veg and wine. They also offer delicious take home meals. More local shopping can be found at Balnarring with a great range of quality food, eateries and gift stores.

Hi, my name is Loretta and I am the face behind Good House Holiday Rentals.

As your host I am more than happy to answer all your questions on the properties I manage. My unique management service is backed by a network of locals, which ensures properties are perfectly prepared and guests are comfortable and more importantly have a wonderful stay.

When I'm not working, I get to spend time with my 2 active gorgeous boys, and with my terrific hubbie we too love to travel as much as we can. Actually it's due to our past experiences as Airbnb guests in Australia and overseas, that my management service started. We tried Airbnb and loved the concept and so
