The cottage is our family's country home - a place where we plan to make memories with our growing children over the decades. As such, we've been thoughtful in designing and furnishing the home to be an inviting, peaceful retreat - from cozy corners to curl up with a good book and comfortable linens and rugs, to a well-stocked kitchen for cooking together and what we consider to be the perfect puzzling table.

This in-town farmhouse is a short walk to West Stockbridge's darling downtown - including No. 6 Depot Roastery and Cafe, Turn Park Art Space, Rouge, Shaker Mill Books, Baldwin's Mercantile, antique stores and more.

Please note, as the home is on the town's main street, traffic can be heard, particularly during quieter hours. The house is set back ~40 feet from the road and there are fans and white noise machines available for guests' use, but guests who prefer to be further off the beaten path may be more comfortable with alternate accommodations.

Hi, there! We're the Rileys. Allison, Noah and three whippersnappers who constantly keep us on our toes.

We are raising our family in the concrete jungle of New York City. We're on year 12 of what Allison's father affectionately refers to as our "three-year plan." We love city life and can point you to the best spot to buy black licorice, our favorite hidden spots in Central Park and the best live music venue for discovering your new favorite artist.

But to this former farm boy and outdoor enthusiast, the Berkshires have long held a special appeal. When we found the recently renovated Tobey Quarry Farmhouse, those 210-year-old beams and bones called to us and we couldn't resist.

We are passionate about travel. We've summited peaks in Patagonia with our babies on our backs, ridden bikes through the rice paddies of Cambodia, relished every bite of a farm-to-table meal in South Africa's wine country and built cairns on the shore of Lake Como. And we've enjoyed them all through the community and accommodations of airbnb.

While some version of travel has been altered at the present time, we are reminded of the comforts and beauty close to home. We have loved making this historic Berkshires cottage our own and are delighted to share it now with the airbnb community.
