This sweet, roomy 1 bedroom 2 story home offers peace, comfort and relaxation and is a functional, central place from which to enjoy northern NM. 31 day minimum stay discounts the rate by half to around $70/ night. It is between Glorieta and Pecos, hiking and biking trails are in every direction, a National Park is next door. With 1,300 sf you have space for a long stay. Full kitchen, open living space, outdoor decks, separate bedroom, separate office w/2 desks. Views and stars galore!

Enjoy this warm and welcoming 1 bedroom home for two, nestled on an acre of meadow and trees cupped in a valley between Glorieta Mesa and the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the cool mountain air in the summer. Relax outdoors on the hammock or enjoy your meals or laptop on the picnic table. Stay snug in the winter months watching the occasional snow fall while you enjoy baking in the full kitchen.

If you are looking for a peaceful staycation along with your Santa Fe area vacation, this home is for you. It has plenty of room to relax, work and enjoy the views. When the sun goes down be ready for the stars! There are no city lights to dim them and they will awe you. During the day you are near hiking and biking trails and just 20 minutes from the first Hwy exit into Santa Fe. The house has a large footprint for one or two people with room for work space, space space, outdoor space and snuggle in space which makes it ideal for long stays and people who expect to spend time in the house working and relaxing.

The kitchen is ready for cooking. It’s stocked with a variety of pots and pans, drip coffee maker, blender, and toaster, full sized fridge and gas stove. We start you out with a few cooking spices, oil, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and sugar. There are grocery stores and restaurants 15-20 minutes away.

The large dining table is ample sized with room for your meals and jigsaw puzzles as well. The comfortable living area is full of rustic, southwest character and plenty of natural light. The home is aged through well-loved use and exhibits patinas of farmhouse character. We are committed to being covid clean, though being situated in such a natural landscape please be aware that dust does creep in.

The cozy bedroom is decorated with southwestern style textiles and local artists’ work. It has a queen bed, a blanket chest with extra bedding, two bureaus, an armoire and an additional closet adjacent to it with plenty of extra storage for hanging clothes and coats with utility shelves for your luggage. Two more storage closets upstairs for your gear or shopping bags. Off the bedroom is a tiled full bath with a deep soaking tub/shower. Bring your bubble bath :-) A stacked washer dryer is conventionally in the en suite bathroom.

Upstairs you’ll find a bonus “crow’s nest” office. High cathedral ceilings and windows overlooking Glorieta Mesa frame the space that includes two desks as well as comfortable seating . Write your novel or opera, work with distant coworkers, whatever your jam, this is an inspirational, airy, comfortable, large space for creating. Please note that it may not be used as a bedroom. Upstairs you will also find an additional bathroom - sometimes it’s just nice to have two bathrooms with two people. (On either side of the office is locked attic space that is not included in the rental.) The upstairs office is separated from the downstairs by an open stairwell.

There is fixed wireless WiFi accessible throughout the house and on the decks. There is a Roku tv ready for your own streaming accounts. We’ve added some extra entertainment if you’d like a shift from relaxing, exploring or working. The bookshelf is stocked with a permanent library of favorite, regional novels and art books geared to your stay that will deepen your knowledge of the cultures around you while you’re here. There are also games and jigsaw puzzles for your enjoyment. We’ve also put together a couple tubs of art supplies for you to express your creativity.

If you enjoy a well cared for home imbued with charm, surrounded by uneven stepstone paths, cackling crows and mountain breezes, then you will enjoy a stay at this peaceful haven. It was built for year round comfort and relaxation and it is our pleasure to share this happy vibe with our guests.

The neighborhood is a friendly one where everyone looks out for each other. Each home is on at least an acre. This property lies between the towns of Glorieta and Pecos, twenty miles from the first entry into Santa Fe. You can enjoy strolls from the house through the neighborhood and if you choose you can continue down the quiet country road for miles where you will be walking alongside the Pecos National Historic Park. There is an abundant network of trails into the nearby mountains for hiking or biking just a five minute drive away. A ten to thirty minute drive in any direction will take you to even more hiking: either down into the desert-scapes of the Galisteo Basin or up into the mountains and fishing rivers of the Pecos Wilderness. Enjoy nearby restaurants in Pecos and Eldorado. And of course, in Santa Fe, shop, explore museums and cultural events, and enjoy a plethora of restaurants. You get to Santa Fe via a beautiful, fast and traffic-free highway, reaching the first entrance into town in about 20 minutes.
