Midnight Sun tiny home is nestled in the middle of a family owned working hay field. From the tiny home you will experience breathtaking panoramic views of Kachemak Bay, Grewingk Glacier, Poots Peak, Gull Island, the Homer Spit and more can easily be seen from the bay view windows. Enjoy a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle of town, and still be less than 10 minutes away from the Spit and downtown Homer.

Midnight Sun tiny Home features a quaint kitchen, small fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 burner hot plate, coffee pot and enough pots/pans/ plates/bowls and utensils for 4 guests. The restroom is supplied with towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a hairdryer, and clothes steamer for guests to use as well.

We also provide coffee, tea, sugar, creamer and granola bars which are complimentary items for our guests to use during their first morning at the cottage. There are three conveniently located grocery stores, one of which is 3 minutes away to stock up on essentials during your stay.

The Tiny Home can sleep up to three people, two comfortably on the full bed in the loft and the bonus sleeping bench below which has a comfortable narrow twin sized mattress. The downstairs bench is narrower than a typical twin size mattress, so we recommend that you plan accordingly when appointing sleeping areas for your group. Also, please bear in mind that the loft will require some physical maneuvering to get to. If you or anyone in your party has physical limitations such as weakened knees, back issues, etc. we highly recommend staying down in the lower quarters to prevent any possible injuries. The steps can be a bit steep for some. Children are not allowed to be upstairs unaccompanied without adult supervision at all times. Also note the Tiny Home is a home on wheels. Tires are chalked and we use jacks for stabilization. You may feel some slight movement in strong winds or if someone is moving in the loft but the tiny home is quite secure and has weathered even the strongest stormy Alaskan winters.

Note: We will provide the extra bedding for you to make the bench cushion upon request.

Installed blackout curtains are a must during the summer months when the sun may not set until nearly midnight. A small heater is located in the main living space in case you need to take the chill off during your visit. Wi-Fi is also included along with a smart TV for entertainment.

Through the summer months it's not uncommon to see a mamma moose and her young stroll through the property, an eagle soar overhead in search of a meal or have a flock of Sandhill Crane land in the field and forage for food with their young. Occasionally, you might be greeted by two small dogs Coco and Chica, owned by Joyce and Alan who live up the hill on the property. They are completely harmless and will not bite.

The Turkington's are 4th Generation Alaskans/Homerites and we love the last frontier! We hope you'll choose to spend part of your Alaskan adventure with us!

Our families 28 acre homestead definitely sets it apart from many other locations in Homer. To be so close to town, and all that Homer has to offer and yet have so much private open space and unmatched views of Kachemak Bay. You simply cannot find a more unique setting in Homer!

A message through airbnb's website or app to let us know you arrived is appreciated. We want to make sure your check-in was successful and an enjoyable experience.

You might see the Turkington family tinkering around in the barn behind the B&B, picking berries in the raspberry patch or having a family get together over at Joyce and Alan's house or other guests staying at the main B&B. The family is very respectful of our guests and we will ensure you have a nice quiet evening on the property. If you do see us around the property, we would love for you to say hello. We want everyone to enjoy the property as much as possible. Each guests level of interaction with our family or other guests is entirely up to each individual. Whether you're there to check in and have a quite stay to yourself, or you like to say hello should you see us on the property, we're just happy you decided to stay with us while visiting our little hamlet by the sea!
