A 1910 Detached property ,with rural views , woodlands & over an acre of level gardens . We are close to all activities ,from walking to axe throwing .
The property is spacious , large rooms , original large French doors on the downstairs to open onto the Verhanda . Everything you need.

We have put everything we would expect in an air bnb or would like when we stay somewhere.

The Space :
You come up our drive which would be roughly 100 meters from the village road , it has a stream bordering the property on your left . As you come around the bend it opens up to the house , lawns and additional driveway .
Great care has been taken to keep original features throughout. Where possible we have tried to supply all the 'mod cons!' such as 65 and a 60 inch Smart TV and smart speakers throughout the house.
You enter through the main door and porch with the stairs to the right of the hall . There are two doors opposite each other . One which lead you to the lounge /evening room with formal dining table .
The other door takes you to the kitchen and day room .
Both sides have full French windows /doors with views of the gardens and woodland
Kitchen and day room :
The Kitchen breakfast room is fully equipped with a large central Island for cooking and entertaining. With a hand made reclaimed wood breakfast table and stools. In addition a large smart TV.
There is a drinks cabinet with a large range of glasses . It also has lots of window and large French doors with views out to the front lawn and woodlands and fields.
Internet :
We have great internet speeds off 98 mbps so you can stream away .
We have left everything we think you could need, to make your stay in the country special. Such as a , rice cooker, picnic basket, travel mugs , thermos , rolling pins , board games and bowls for your dogs.
Lounge :
The Lounge has a wood burning stove, 65 inch smart TV, comfortable sofa and chairs with a large opening to the formal dining area with a rayburn oven making it the perfect space to enjoy an evening meal and later retire with a nightcap or cup of hot chocolate.
Utility area :
There is a utility area with washing machine and portable clothes airier. Please see amenities
Bedrooms :
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms , 3 large bedrooms with large windows with woodland or garden views . 1 super king with zip and link beds, so either can be made a superking or twin beds, the other two rooms have a king size bed each all with clothes storage. The 4th small bedroom doubles as a childs room or a single bedroom . We adapt this room to the families that come . If younger children we have a teepee and some books and toys . If adult or teenager , we have the smart speakers and a cube for additional USB ports .
Bathroom :
The large bathroom has a large cast iron Victorian bath with rain shower over, anybody over the years that has come to my home always wants the bath on the first night. Then relax looking at the view through the French doors or outside on the top lawn area .
Enclosed area :
The area at the top gardens and house has been made secure with fencing all the way around and gates so you can feel more secure if you have pets or younger children .
Not enclosed fully :
The front lawn is large and not fully fenced . This is where you have plenty of space to play a game of cricket or football or just have the evening around the large fire pit, toast marshmallow and maybe grab a wine .
There is additional seating in this lawn as well and a large tree bench that was made from the property , keeping it natural as possible .
Stars at night : 🌟
We are very close to the dark skies and exmoor national park and there is great viewing of the Milky Way on a good clear night .
listen to some music , grab a chair , and look at the stars .
Parking :
There is plenty of space to park a few cars .
The property gives such privacy and yet you are less than a mile to the village .
The house is in between two woodlands and you are nestled in a valley so you are surrounded by trees , sun and birds .
We also have hedgehogs , we will leave food for you to feed them if you like .
