Welcome to your home away from home, a cozy private room in the heart of the charming York Chester District in Gastonia, NC.

We hope you will be blessed by our thoughtfully-curated room and enjoy the amenities we have to offer, including a spacious backyard. We love vintage and boho and bring it together in a special eclectic style, not forgoing coziness!

Our home is a two-minute drive from downtown Gastonia, and about 25 minutes from CLT and 35 to Uptown Charlotte.

Our charming home is a 90-year old gem in the Historic York Chester District.
Your space is the only downstairs bedroom in the home. It has a queen bed, a chair and two lamps for cozy lighting. We've provided a TV that has Netflix and other watching capabilities (on your own accounts) as well as fun reading options. We provide an extra blanket and pillows. The room has a microwave, a minifridge, and a hot water kettle with flavored instant coffee (promise they're delicious!), cream and sugar, tea, hot chocolate, and oatmeal. Cups, travel cups, mugs, plates and bowls are provided as well.
There is a small folding table/desk for working and eating.
The hanging plant in the bedroom is a pothos; his name is Hippo.
Unfortunately we do not allow fires in the fireplaces, they were designed for coal and are out of commission.

The bathroom has a luxurious shower, enjoy all 4 features all at once if you like! We provide towels, soaps, and one mini loofah per person.

Feel free to walk through the sunroom (door next to the bathroom) to the back deck, but please note our dog Simba may be outside if we are not home. We have a small grill that you are welcome to use upon request.

We live in a 100+ year-old Historic District less than 5 minutes from downtown Gastonia.
We would love for you to join us if you stay through Sunday morning at Revolution Church Gastonia at 9:00am or 11:00am. It’s a wonderful church home and only 5 minutes from the house.

Howdy friends! Welcome to our listing! I’m Gwen and my co-hosts are husband, Santi, and doggy, Simba. We are so looking forward to hosting you. We are new to the Gastonia/Charlotte area where my husband works for Samaritans Purse.
I wear a few hats including hostess and “worlds best puppy mom” (according to Simba), and best cook/baker (according to Santi.. hm, are these unbiased sources?) but for work I am a wedding and portrait photographer. (Need some photos while you’re here? Ask me about discounted rates for guests!)
My mom and I have shared a similar passion for transforming spaces, especially old houses, into bed & breakfasts, and now both of us have made that dream a reality in our own homes! (Check our her listings in Rogers, AR: “Sunrise Extravaganza” and “Where Bluebirds Fly”!)
I love hospitality and always want to go the extra mile to make my guests feel welcome and comfortable. Our hope is that our home will be a blessing to all those who enter.

The bedroom totally your space but this is a residential home, so you're bound to hear some noise and occasionally see us in passing. You will also most likely meet our dog, Simba, a friendly 1 year old German Shepherd pup, and possibly our cat, Maui. Simba loves to make new friends and is sure you're here just to visit him.
We prefer communication through text but we are happy to interact or answer any questions if our paths cross!
