This is recent modern Barn conversion. (Jan 2015) It contains one large kitchen/dining/lounge area, one double bedroom with en suite facilities. June 2017 added second Living Space area with view of farm and wood, Lobby area with Laundry facilities and a second bathroom. Please note the Grounds and external outdoor perimeter of The Barn is protected by CCTV TK Alarm Company.
Please bear in mind this is a simple place. It once was out buildings, however you will find it warm and homely.

Indawo
The Dream Barn offers old style Irish living with modern luxuries. It is located in the Village. Dublin is 50 minutes drive away on the M3 motorway. Belfast is under two hours away. Kells our local Town is five minutes away. Moynalty won the Tidiest Village Award in Ireland in 2013.
Moynalty offers one local pub ( McCormacks) , a Post Office with AIB Banking services, Church, coffee shop, Hair Salon, two local shops, McNallys Pharamacy and a garage service station, tennis courts, fishing rivers. Loughcrew Megalithic Cairns, Hill of Tara, Newgrange, Lloyd Tower (inland Lighthouse) and Girley Eco Bog are some of the local places to visit. Also equestrian facilities and Golf courses are adjacent.
Apart from Kells, Oldcastle and Virgina are interesting towns to explore.
I am very animal friendly.... dog, cats and hens live here (cows in adjacent field) also lots of wildlife! (squirrels, badgers, hedgehogs, foxes, birdlife) If your pet is sociably minded he/she is welcome to join the farm. Your dog needs to be cat friendly to get along here!
The Borora River runs not far from my home on the opposite side. Also there is a large park (Threshing Field) with an outdoor gym and Agricultural Museum. The two local Newsagent and Grocery Stores , Hair Salon and Garage and one fine Irish pub and Post Office and Church are all minutes from my home.

Ukungena kwesivakashi
The Dream Barn offers a full kitchen,(filtered water) laundry service, Television and WiFi Broadband.
The Dream Barn is exclusively non smoking area. Smoking outdoors no problem. Pets are more than welcome!
A Gents and a Ladies bicycle is available and cycling gear for two. Also picnic basket can be sorted!

Ezinye izinto okumele ziqashelwe
You will definitely enjoy living in such a beautiful village.
The name The Dream is the original name of the main house. It was built in the 1860s by the Farrell Landlords as an estate house. At the very beginning a Nanny lived here and it was The Dream of a family member (Farrells) that a nursery could be provided for the very young children of the estate workers. So the dream came through and the house became an early 19th century kindergarten.
Today the house is called The Dream, Holly House. Holly House because when I came to live here the only surviving tree left was a Holly Tree. Apparently there was a beautiful garden here prior to modern houses constructed on the old garden site. Also Babooshka a young Tibetian Terrier who came to me from the DSPCA Rathfarnham lives here. She is as mad as a hatter and wired!

I moved to Moynalty in recent years. Here I have found a wonderful community, a beautiful environment and a vastly rich heritage. My hobbies include horticulture, my 1969 Morris Minor Traveller, cycling and minding a little flock of Rhode Island Hens who live with Roosty and Carmella, a rescued cockeral and hen (Light Sussex and Buff Orpington)Bluebell hens arrived Summer 2016. Babooshka a lively Tibetan Terrier (from DSPCA) and recently Patience a young Golden Cocker Spaniel (from Animal Rescue) arrived and Tom a wild cat provide security. Three other cats live here. June, Ruby and Mia. All showed up in Summer 2015 liked what they saw and moved in. I enjoy welcoming guests to experience the proverbial natural beauty of Moynalty and meet my neighbours.
