An elegant interior designed two-bedroom luxury apartment located in the beautiful historic centre of Lagos with easy access to the finest beaches on the Algarve. The apartment is exceptionally well located just 100 metres from the historic walls, walking distance of 1 kilometre from the train and bus stations (14mins walk), 800 metres to the Marina and quick, easy access of just a few minutes to Meia Praia Beach, and world-famous Dona Ana Beach, and ten minutes to top golf courses.

The historic centre others endless choices of restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes, and has excellent gastronomic options. The apartment is located near the outstanding boutique hotel Casa Mae and our guests can obtain a discount at the restaurant and cafe.

The apartment has a street balcony to sip coffee and watch the world go by along the historic Street of the Fisherman, and an additional private terrace for dining. There is also a simple and basic private sunbathing area on the roof terrace with panoramic views.

The rental price includes fibre-optic WIFI, taxes, cleaning, air/con, meet and greet service and IPTV providing English and European language Television Channels (BBC, Fox Movies, National Geographic). Fibre optic broadband speed 400 Mb.

Fully furnished and equipped, the apartment is situated on the first floor, just above street level and accessible by a single flight of stairs. The apartment itself has no stairs being laid out all on one level.

The property is tastefully furnished with options for both indoor and outdoor dining.

An excellent base for visitors, surfers, sailors, and sun lovers. Lagos has something for everyone. Between the ancient streets where the age of Portuguese exploration and navigation commenced, you will discover a laid back welcoming 70's vibe sitting alongside a modern, eclectic, functioning town attracting surfers, gourmet chefs, the in-crowd, families, and retirees. Lagos was recently listed as the top destination for upcoming travel destinations, yet it loses none of its inherent character and honesty. Lagos is a working town where the people are friendly, polite, and a high standard of service and care is delivered to its visitors. Few places in the world provide such richness of culture and experience with such ease.

Easily accessible as a day trip are many other famous Portuguese towns and beaches, Monchique, Silves, Luz, Carvoeiro, Lagoa, Sagres, etc. Lisbon is a 2-hour 50-minute drive and can also be reached by train or bus.

The central location means car hire is not necessary; however, should you wish to hire a car, scooter, or electric bicycle for a day or two, there are many options for hire in the local vicinity. Free parking is also available (unsecured). This is a city centre location so urban and normal apartment noise should be expected. Please note that currently 2021/2022 there are renovations of historic buildings in the city centre with the potential for some building noise during daytime hours (not July and August when renovation work is not permitted).

Winter sunshine is in abundance, and the climate is temperate all year round. Heating is available during the winter months.

The apartment has two very spacious bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, storage, a Juliette balcony and a safe.

The second bedroom has two single beds, with plenty of storage.

The lounge is furnished with two sofas and an interior dining table. It is a light and airy room with a charming small balcony (big enough for two) where you can sit and enjoy a coffee.

The kitchen has a quiet terrace at the rear of the property with a dining table for four.

There is a spacious hallway that provides access to all the rooms. From which there is a further small terrace useful for storing beach equipment.

Accessed via the communal stairway is a roof terrace with some spectacular views across the historic city and the beaches and bay. There is a private designated area with two sun loungers for use by our visitors and guests.

We bought this property in 2016 as we found the location outstanding, and the property has spacious rooms with outside balconies and terraces. We love the local town of Lagos, which indeed has everything to offer - shopping, marina trips, history and architecture, all of which we enjoy. We took up golf in 2012 and have found excellent golfing facilities within 10 mins drive from the historic centre. We felt that this apartment genuinely offered the best of all worlds, being accessible to the beach and marina and providing us with a Winter sun destination with all year round activities within an attractive, lively, and romantic setting. As we need to keep in touch with our office when on holiday we have fibre-optic broadband with a 400Mb speed, so e find it is easy to balance work and travel. We have also learnt how to pilot a motorboat and obtained our RYA certificate. We enjoy renting a boat at the marina and exploring the stunning coastline and Unesco protected beaches.
