Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Located in the Hudson Valley, The Step is a little piece of paradise built on 78 acre's of operating farm land near the Walkill River. It is an off the grid 'glamping' experience equipped with the luxury of a queen size memory foam mattress for a good nights sleep. The Step is a secluded get away where you can explore our farm land, show off your scrabble skills, gaze at the stars, and be woken up by the sun through your windows.

The Step is a 168 square foot, quaint and cozy, A-Frame located on a farm. Our space holds a queen size bed and a little nook for you to sit at and eat, play a plethora of games or read a book! We have an outside sitting area or ‘kitchen’ with a picnic table, grill, some chairs, firewood, and a fire pit in the middle. The cabins electricity is run off of a gas generator. Our bathroom or outhouse is 62 square feet located separate from the Step. (About 20’ away from the cabin) The outhouse does not have running water- there is NO SHOWER and no plumbing. The cabin is equipped with an AC unit for those hot summer days. It is stocked with extra toiletries and sanitizing agents. The town of Montgomery is a 3 minute drive from The Step where you can grab some great local food and drinks. Come relax and reconnect with nature. Get your Glamp on!

Our neighborhood! Montgomery gets the award for being in the top 100 of safest towns and could potentially be found in a Hallmark film. The drive to town is about 3 minutes from The Step where you can grab some dinner at our local pub, grab coffee/brunch/lunch at our very favorite cafe (thee iron cafe), or browse the cute shops throughout the village. Some nature attractions include- Benedict Park (about a 5 minute drive), Montgomery Park (close proximity to the cafe- 3 minute drive) or stay super local and explore our 78 acre farm where The Step is built!

Under 10 minutes from our spot you can travel to Angry Orchard where you can sip on some hard cider and explore the valley of apples. If you want to get wild and take a longer drive, head up to Mohonk (30 minute drive) to hike and enjoy the mountainous views.

Beware! After exploring our town you may want to move here....

However, if you encountered a problem and needed assistance we live very local… 2 minutes down the road to be exact! If you’re two people short from a mean marshmallow roasting competition we are always down to hang ;)
